Seriously, what the fuck were you even thinking?! "Do you come here often?" What kind of dumbass says that?!
But like...
Somehow, it managed to get you up the mountain and into the old man's house, so in a way... it was sort of effective?
Whilst he prepared tea, you couldn't help but look around the small house. There was no sign of Tanjirou or Nezuko, so you were either early or already missed them... You hoped it wasn't the latter.
Patiently, you waited for Urokodaki to sit and serve you tea, not daring to speak or move a muscle until he did so first.
"So," he began, making you jolt in your spot. "What business do you have on Mt. Sagiri?"
You cleared your throat. You hadn't exactly expected to run into Urokodaki himself the second you arrived in front of the mountain, so you couldn't prepare a valid excuse beforehand. And the longer you took to answer, the more suspicious you would become.
...But Urokodaki was trustworthy, maybe it was worth a shot to...
Eh, y'know what? Never know until you try it.
"Well, this is gonna make me sound sort of crazy, but first... I have a question for you." The man was silent, but nodded for you to go on. "By chance... has a pair of siblings come by here before?"
"Siblings?"
"Yes. The boy wears a pair of hanafuda earrings and has a scar on his forehead. While the girl... um, how do I put this...? Well, she's a demon."
You couldn't see his expression with his tengu mask, but his body language made it clear that he was surprised, and you began to sweat nervously. Was that a 'good surprised' or 'bad surprised'...?
"...No. No, they haven't." As he shook his head, you were filled with both relief and worry. You had made it before the main storyline!! You still couldn't be sure exactly what point you were at, but at least you still had a chance to get involved.
On the other hand...
"Ahaha, yeah, so this is what I meant when I said I'd sound crazy..." Laughing awkwardly, you rubbed the back of your head sheepishly. "The thing is..." You took a deep breath. Ultimately, it'd be best to just tell him the truth—not the full truth, obviously, but still.
Here goes nothing...
"I'm a special person."
You cringed. 'Ew, why did I say it like that?? Now I sound like an I'm-not-like-other-girls pick me!'
"Uh—no, that's not right. What I mean to say is, well, my body isn't exactly my body."
Naturally, Urokodaki had no fucking idea what you were talking about, so you oh-so-kindly elaborated.
