chapter 6

Scarlets POV-

We were in there for about an hour now and we were all having fun dancing together.

"hey i'm gonna go get us more shots okay?" I said into Gracies ear.

"okay come get me if anything." she said.

I nodded and walked away to the bar.

As I was waiting for our drinks to be done someone came and stood next to me.

"hey scarlet." I heard.

I looked over.

"hey hayes." I said dryly.

"are you here with Gracie and them?" he asked.

I nodded looking forward.

"are you guys back together?" he asked.

"why do you want to know that?" I said looking back at him.

"no no it was just a question. If you are i'm happy for you guys, I want gracie happy even if it's not with me. After all she never really stopped wanting you anyway." he said taking a sip out of his drink.

"what do you mean?" I asked.

"The whole time her and I were together it was like she was never really all in. She was mine but she wasn't really mine, she was always yours and I saw that but I wanted to be with her so I just ignored it even though we barely hugged or kissed or anything like that." he said with a half smile.

"i'm sorry hayes, you'll find the one for you." I said.

"no its all good. I just want her happy and i've been seeing this girl for a few weeks now and it's good, going pretty solid." he said smiling.

"thats good to hear i'm happy for you." I said smiling back.

All this time I thought he was a horrible person but I guess I was wrong. Or was I?

"i'm gonna get back to my friends now but have a good rest of your night." he said smiling walking away.

I nodded my head at him and grabbed the shots off the counter.

I made my way back to the girls and they were still dancing like crazy.

"yay more shots!" Gracie yelled.

I smiled at them as they all took a shot and then I took mine. I squinted my eyes as I swallowed it, I never liked the taste of alcohol but why not have some fun?

"everything okay? you took a bit long." gracie said wrapping her arms around me.

I was going to tell her about my talk with hayes but I figured that we could just talk about it in private later.

"yeah some people were arguing with the bartender about their drinks, just stupid stuff." I said, spinning her around.

She smiled nodding and we continued to dance.

As the night died down, we decided that we all wanted to go after being there for another hour. I called us a car to come pick us up because we all drank and knew it wasn't the best idea to drive.

My driver dropped Abby and Audrey off first which left Gracie and I alone. 

"did you want to stay with me or have us drop you off home?" I asked looking over at her.

She was already looking at me biting her lip softly and her eyes had a little sparkle to them when the light reached them.

"what? why are you looking at me like that?" I asked laughing.
