chapter 27

Gracies POV-
I got out of my car and walked into her apartment building and took the elevator up. When I got to her door I unlocked it since I have a key.

"baby?" I called out.

I heard footsteps and then her bathroom door opened and she walked out smiling at me and then wrapped her arms around me.

"hi." she said kissing me softly.

I backed away smiling at her looking her in her eyes. I'm so in love with her.

"I love you more than anything." she whispered.

I looked at her and tears started forming in my eyes.

"hey no, no crying." she said cupping my face and then kissing my nose.

"i'm sorry." I said.

She wrapped her arms around me and picked me up gently so I wrapped my legs around her and she sat us down on her couch.

"you didn't do anything wrong princess why are you apologizing?" she said softly.

"for hurting you. just for everything. I didn't cheat on you I promise I didn't and now most of the world thinks that I did and I just don't want you to hate me the way everyone else does right now. Please don't hate me." I said crying into her shoulder.

Scarlets POV-

I wrapped my arms around her tighter leaving kisses on her head. I felt angry that someone could make her feel so bad. I don't want anyone to ever hurt her. I'll make sure that bitch gets what she deserves.

"I don't hate you I could never hate you. I love you more than anything Gracie. You're the love of my life I mean for god sakes I was gonna propose to you and i-" I said.

I took a deep breath in realizing what I just said and she took her head off my shoulder and wiped her tears looking at me.

"scar you were gonna propose to me?" she asked quietly.

I looked at her and she put her hand on her mouth.

"Oh my god and I-" she took started breathing heavily.

"I left you and-

I cupped her face and immediately shook my head no.

"No my love. I was gonna propose to you but then I got into the car accident. Baby look at me and breathe." I said.

I started breathing with her and kept eye contact with her while I rubbed her cheek.

"i'm sorry." she whispered.

I leaned in and kissed her gently.

"stop apologizing to me. you didn't do anything and everything is alright settled, okay?" I said.

She nodded her head and then looked at me.

"did you ever buy a ring?" she asked.

"yeah um I actually bought two. Before the accident happened I met up with Abby and Audrey. But then obviously I forgot everything and um." I said looking down.

"what baby?" she asked putting her finger under my chin.

"The day you came over and brought me food and I confronted you about knowing. Well, after you left I decided that I wanted to go on a walk but I put my coat on and found the rings. I freaked out and called Fin so he could take the rings until I remembered but I got really upset with myself that night because I couldn't remember and I really wanted to so thats why I was so upset when the guy touched me when I was drinking and I let my anger out on him by hitting him." I said smiling at the end.

"do you have the rings?" she asked.

"yes I picked them up a couple days ago." I said.

She smiled and kissed me.

"can I see them?" she said smiling.

"babe." I said laughing.

"please please please." She said moving back and forth.

I shook my head and picked her up.

"yaya!" she said kissing my cheek.

I laughed and brought her to my room and set her down on my bed and walked to my closet and back out.

"i'm showing you the promise ring only and its yours. I love you and I promise I always will my love. One day i'll get down on one knee and ask you correctly to marry me." I said kissing her gently.

I opened the box in front of her and she immediately started crying.

"it's so pretty." she whispered.

"I knew you'd love it." I said taking it out of the box.

She put her hand out and I kissed it before sliding the ring on.

"So I can't see the wedding ring?" she asked looking up doing a pouty face.

"lets go you big baby we have to cook dinner." I said picking her back up.

She laughed and kissed my cheeks the whole time I walked to the kitchen.

I gently put her down on a stool and smiled at her.

"what do you want for dinner my love?" I asked.

"I don't really know I didn't really think about it yet." she said.

I smiled and rolled my eyes at her.
