A/N I plan on updating this chapter in the future, but I am currently filling in for my co workers who are out of state at the moment. It's mostly just a few touch ups, so don't worry about the chapter changing drastically in the future. It'll probably end up being a week from now though.

Now back to the story:

“So, are you done with your call now or…?”

“Depends, are you just going to keep on annoying me?”

Church just groans in response. After Church practically exorcized O'malley from Caboose's body, he noticed Tex was missing. He left Caboose's body, hoping she was waiting outside of his head.

She was not.

Thus, after making a call, he waited by a very upset Freckles as the Blue team returned to base.

With Samus immediately going to their long range communications device in the garage. He tried to talk to her but she just ignored him for the walk there and the call.

“Look lady, I just need to know how the plan went and when you're leaving.”

“I'll be leaving within a few days. Just need to focus on repairing my engines, hyperdrive, and wormhole generator.”

“Good, just don't interfere with our operations and- wait, you have a wormhole generator?” Church asks as Samus points her laser arm cannon at him.

“Do you want to see if killing a ghost makes it a ghost of a ghost?” Samus retorts.

Church raises his arms in surrender. “Okay, I'm just going to go talk with the rest of my team now.”

“Wise of you.” Samus said as she took a long look around the garage before grabbing a toolkit and heading back to her spaceship.

“Okay, sure take our stuff. Why not?” Church said with a sigh. “Probably should check on Caboose.”

Church walked on top of Blue base to see Caboose lying on the floor and Tucker standing a foot away from him. Freckles had somehow put him on top of Blue base so he could recover from O'malley's expulsion. Now that he was done failing to talk with their resident bounty hunter, he needed to know how his tank was doing.

“How's Sheila doing?” Church bringing Tuckers attention to him.

“I'm not gonna lie, it's not looking pretty. She may have twisted her differential, possibly some structural damage. Could be a disk.” Tucker rambled.

“You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, do you?” Church said with a deadpan.

“Eh, no. Not a clue.” Tucker said with a shrug. “Not really sure what you were expecting me answer with.”

“Right.” Church said with a sigh, “What about Tex? Any sign of her?”

“No, no Tex. Is it unusual for her to disappear like that?” Despite the story told about sidewinder, Tucker knew very little of the freelancer agent. He only really knew what little he saw of her in action.

“When we were dating, she'd sneak off all the time. But it was usually to sleep with other guys, or to spend money that she'd taken out of my wallet. And since I don't have any money, and... well, no offense to you, Tucker, but…” Church trailed off.

“You're a dick.”

“Hey, you asked.” Church replied with a chuckle.

“Honestly, I thought she would stick around to show up that bounty hunter.” Tucker said. “Tex doesn't seem the type to leave when there's competition around.”

“You be right. Tex is not a fan of sharing. She actually beat up a girl who winked at me one time when we were dating.”

“And you still dated her after that?” Tucker said incredulously.

“I was worried what she might do to me if I broke up with her at the time. If she wants something,  she will do everything she can to both take and keep it.” Church in a grim tone.

“Dude, I feel like you actually got pretty lucky when she broke up with you. Actually, why did she break up with you?” Tucker asked.

“Well…” Church said in thought. Truth was, he didn't remember why they broke. He knew Texas was to blame for it, but he doesnt the circumstances of the break up. However, his thoughts were thankfully interrupted by Caboose’s groans as he woke up.

“Hey, look Caboose is waking up.” Church said, changing the conversation.

“Man, Caboose. You were asleep for a long time. What were you dreaming about?” Tucker asked Caboose who rubbed his head with a hand.

“Oh, nothing. I do not like to dream. I try not to think while I'm sleeping.” Caboose said somewhat  cryptically.

“That's pretty much how you function while you're awake, too.” Tucker added in.

“I think consistency is important.” Caboose said happily, missing the insult entirely.

“Well, you look ok. Then again, that's just the armor. How do you feel?” Church asked Caboose.

“Great! ...Who're you Mr. Ghost?” Caboose with curiosity.

“Oh, come on! Not this again! How can you seriously not remember me?” Church shouted in frustration.

“Oh, of course! I remember you... you're Marvin!” Caboose guessed.

“I'm Church!”

“I think I would remember a name that ridiculous. Nope, you are definitely Phil.”

Church: You killed me with the tank.

Caboose: Dave!

“You insulted my girlfriend. You called her a cow.”

“Karen!”

‘Dude, he called her a slut.” Tucker corrected.

“I wouldn't call anyone a slut. However I was forcibly taught to say, ‘Why buy a cow when you can get the milk for free.’”

“Wait what do you mean forcibly?” Church asked in confusion.

“Well, after my parents died while I was ten, I was temporarily taken to place with a bunch of other kids. There we had to do a lot of stuff and learn some things. A guy named Father taught me that, and if I disagreed, he would throw a car at me.

“The fuck?!” Tucker exclaimed.

“Yes. Anyways back to guessing now. Phineas!”

"Uhh…. Okay.” Church did not want to touch that can of worms, so he went back to the previous issue. “Your whole life is based around pleasing me. In fact, I think you're kind of obsessed with being my best friend.”

Caboose turns and (stage)whispers to Tucker,
“Psst. The new guy is pretty full of himself.”

“New guy?” Church asked offend by what Caboose just said. “What the- I'm not the new guy. You’re the new guy!”

“I don't know. I kinda like it. I could get used to calling you Rookie.” Tucker teased

“Oh, yea? Could you get used to me beating you to death?” Church counters.

“Psst. What's wrong with the rookie? He seems mad.” Caboose staged whispers to Tucker again.

“Oh, son of a bitch.” Church groans.
