A/N Okay last chapter was kinda of dark, but Lopez, to me at least, had a much serious look at things which helps with the comedy of the show. It still kinda messes with the tone I want to make which is comedy with a side of seriousness. So this chapter is going to have a more comedic edge to it. Other than that, I hope you enjoy it.

'Thoughts'

"Is it just me, or does this jeep seem like really bad luck?" Grif said as Sarge worked on the Warthog once again. After Sarge had awoken from his 12-hour map caused by the Warthog, he immediately went to fix it.

The man was either crazy dedicated to the Red cause, or just plain crazy. No one on the Red Team knew.

"Yeah." Simmons said in thought next to Grif, " You know, now that you mention it, it does seem like every time we get into the damn thing it breaks or explodes, or goes crazy and tries to kill one of us."

"Exactly," Grif said as Donut walked over to them.

"Maybe we should try exchanging it for a few motorcycles. No wait, wait! A big tank like the Blues have. That thing never seems to have any problems at all." Donut suggested in excitement.

"Uh, Donut, I'm not sure if you know this, but their tank got destroyed by a grenade. You know, the one that you threw?" Grif said as he turned towards the man in pink.

"So? They're fixing it right now, aren't they?" Donut pointed out.

"Wait, what?" Grif asked as he went to grab a sniper rifle. It was lying nearby because Sarge kept a sniper rifle on top of their base at all times in case they needed to see things from a distance. While their helmets had 5 times optical zoom, it was better paired with the sniper to get a clearer picture. He figured it would be faster than running to the armory anytime they needed to spy on the Blues.

"The fuck you mean that they're fixing the tank!?" Simmons asked as Grif hopped on top of the Warthog to get a better vantage point.

"Aw, crap." Grif said from atop the Warthog."Donuts right, they got a guy fixing their tank."

Sarge said as he turned to face his team. "Impossible! Our Intelligence clearly states-"

"We have intelligence?" Donut interrupted. (Sarge chose to ignore that.)

"-that the only soldiers in this canyon with mechanical training are that dead Freelancer and Lopez. Oh, wait a minute!"

Simmons asked, "Sarge, are you thinking what I'm thinking? Lopez runs away, the jeep starts driving itself, and suddenly there's a new guy on the Blue Team?"

"Yes, Simmons, I am. Everyone gather around because I'm only going to say this once," Sarge said as Simmons and Donut jumped off base, with Grif getting off the Warthog as well. "Quite obviously, the Blue Team has constructed some kind of diabolical mind control ray beam that they used on Lopez and now he has to do their evil Blue bidding!"

"Or, since he's a robot, maybe they just reprogrammed him." Grif offered, choosing to go with Occam's razor.

"Or maybe," Donut started, "that Blue guy who got killed by the tank came back as a ghost, and now he's possessing Lopez's body. That could also explain why Sarge went nuts when we had the prisoner. The Blue Ghost probably possessed him too. And the jeep going nuts was probably just a weird set of coincidences while the guy learned how to use Lopez's body."

Grif, Simmons, and Sarge just turned and stared at Donut for a minute.

"I think I like the ray beam idea better," Simmons said after a while.
