"🚨Warning ! There is abuse in this chapter !"

After the Massacre, Max was heartbroken at the fact that Jill, someone who he considered as a sister, was the one who started a killing spree. It was too much for him, so clung to Sidney for comfort. Sidney knew it was traumatic for the little four year old so she stayed until his parents came back. When they did come back, they were more concerned about Kirby than him.The doctor told them that she was dead for 4 minutes and they were rushing to her side.

Max was dead for almost 30 minutes, but his parents didn't seem to care about it and that made him sad. Gale was too focused on getting the story, but Sidney and Dewey noticed what was happening and they were sympathetic towards Max. While his parents seemed to support Kirby throughout her recovery and trauma, they didn't seem to care for Max's recovery and trauma. He had nightmares about it, but they turned him away, when he was developing PTSD but his parents either didn't notice or they didn't care. When he cried to them or wanted comfort, they thought he was being dramatic and being crybaby.

Kirby was distant with him the entire time. Whenever he checked on her she was always unresponsive and she stared off into space. One day when he came to check on her, it wasn't pleasant.

A five year old Max was walking through the living room and saw Kirby staring at the window with a blank expression on her face. Max walked towards her.

"Kirby ?" Max asked but she didn't respond. Max walked towards her and went to grab her hand but as soon as his fingers touched her hand, Kirby got jump scared back handed him in the face, knocking him to the ground. She looked down and saw what she did. She started breathing heavily and walked out of the room. Their parents saw the entire interaction and they rushed over to Max, who was cupping his face trying not to cry. The parents looked at each other.

"You deal with him. I'll get Kirby." Max's mother said as she went to find Kirby. Max's father looked at him with a disappointed look and he roughly picked Max and took to his room. His father threw him to the ground and he rolled up his the sleeves on his shirt, while Max watched fearfully.

"What are you doing ?" Max asked fearfully.

"Teaching you a lesson." Max's father said as he proceeded to punch Max.

When Max went back to preschool everything was different. The other kids didn't acknowledge him and they didn't want to be friends with him. The teachers saw the bruises on him they assumed he was still recovering from the massacre so they didn't question it. Back then Kirby would pick him up from school because his parents were always too busy. Nowadays he would wait for one of his parents to come get him from preschool.

On certain days, he would get picked on by bullies while he was waiting patiently for his parents. There were times where they pushed him but there were other times where they pushed him to the ground and kicked him until they got exhausted. He would come home with a busted lip and he would be bleeding on his head, one of his legs, or one of his arms. But no one seemed to care about his injuries but his parents would clean his wounds at act like nothing happened. Months later, Kirby graduated high school.

But as soon as they got home from the graduation ceremony, Kirby started to pack everything she had. Her parents tried to talk to her but she ignored them, and as she went outside Max followed her to see what's going on.

"Kirby what's wrong ?" Max asked worried.

"Not now." Kirby said in a low tone.

"Kirby, I want to help you. You always helped me. Can you tell me what's going on please ?" Max pleaded. Kirby slowly turned around and gave Max a glare causing him to feel scared.
