Scream: Max Reed

The First Attack

Sam and Max were at the apartment sitting next to each other on the stairs, Max knew that Sam was depressed so he decided to keep her company. They heard a buzzing sound at the door and they turned to look at the door and saw a man coming through checking his mail. Sam got up from the stairs towards the guy and they started making out against the wall. But Sam pulled out of the kiss.

"Careful. Someone might see us." Sam warned the man.

"Someone did see you. I'm happy you finally found happiness, Sam." Max said with a teasing smile. Sam scoffed and rolled her eyes.

"You always say the most romantic things." The guy said with a smile. Sam turned around to look at him.

"Danny." Sam said.

"What ?" Danny asked looking around.

"Can I help it my kink is "woman who's ashamed to be seen with me" ?" Danny asked playfully.

"Come on. You know it's not that. I'm just not ready for..." Sam said until Danny finished her sentence.

"I know, I know, for your sister and your friends to know that you enjoy physical contact with another human being. I get it, I do. Your secret is safe with me." Danny assured her. Sam turned to look at Max who was smiling widely.

"Max ?" Sam asked hopeful.

"I don't know." Max said keeping the smile. Sam narrowed her eyes at him.

"Max ?" Sam said warning him.

"I'm joking. As much as I want to embarrass you about this I won't say anything. Your secret's safe with me. I'm happy for you." Max said genuinely.

"Thank you." Sam said gratefully. Max holds out his hand to Danny.

"It's nice to meet you sir." Max said. Danny and Max shook hands.

"It's nice to meet you too." Danny said.

"Take care of her." Max said with a smile and Danny nodded at him.

Max walked out of the apartment but he stopped in front of the stairs when he heard his phone ringing. He looked at his phone and saw that Gale was calling and he answered it.

"Hey mom. What's going on ?" Max greeted.

"Have you seen the news ?" Gale asked. Her voice was filled with panic.

"No ma'am. I'm no where near the T.V." Max answered.

"There were was a murder at Sam and Tara's apartment building. The police found a mutilated body of Greg Bruckner and they're currently investigating what happened." Gale explained. Max felt dread filling his stomach.

"Oh man. Do they know who did it ?" Max asked. He had a feeling on what was about to happen.

"No. But that's not the only thing. They found Ghostface costumes in the apartment." Gale explained.

"Then that means Ghostface is back." Max said.

"There's another thing. The police told me what you did. You saved a woman from being killed by someone who was wearing a Ghostface costume." Gale said. Max froze in place gripping his phone. He didn't know what to say.

"I was going to tell you but I didn't have enough time. I gave my statement to the police and I was helping Sam." Max said.

"I was angry that you didn't tell me immediately after what happened but I proud of what you did. It turns out the guy that was wearing the Ghostface costume, Jason Carvey, I think he was gonna plan his Ghostface attack with his best friend Greg." Gale explained.
