The Meeting

Dewey was driving him and Max to the Meeks-Martin residence. Mindy sent him a text saying to meet at her house and when he told Dewey about it, they knew that they had to help.

"I'm not sure if I'm ready for this." Dewey said.

"I'm not ready for this either, but we have to do what we can to help." Max said.

"How are you always good with encouragement ?" Dewey asked with a smile.

"I don't know. But I have to be brave and encouraging because it won't help if we act scared. If we live in fear then that will give Ghostface an advantage." Max said.

"You're too young to be wise." Dewey said with a smile.

"Maybe I'm older than I look." Max joked. He and Dewey laughed at the joke and they were enjoying the moment. Dewey continued to drive until they reached their destination.

"Are you ready for this ?" Dewey asked.

"I don't think I'll ever be. But I have to." Max said giving a smile. He and Dewey walked out of the car and they saw Sam and Richie turn around looking at them.

"I've decided to temporarily assist you in your investigation." Dewey told them as he walked past them.

"Thank you." Sam said.

"Look, just because that guy showered doesn't mean he should have a gun." Richie whispered to Sam but Max heard what he said.

"Unless you got something nice to say, how about you keep trap shut and show some respect." Max sternly said giving Richie a glare.

Mindy let them in the house and walked them to the living room.

"So how do you know so much about the Stab movies ?" Richie asked.

"It runs in her family." Dewey answered.

"Randy was our uncle. R.I.P" Mindy said blowing a kiss at the portrait.

"Hey." Sam greeted everyone in the room. Then Martha came into the room carrying a tray of food.

"Ooh, suspects. My brother would be so proud." Martha said with a smile. She put the tray on the table and saw Max and Dewey.

"Max. It's always good to see you." Martha said. She walked towards him and hugged Max tightly.

"Good to see you Martha." Max said.

"Hey Martha." Dewey greeted. Martha was shocked to see him and gave him a hug.

"Dewey. Hi. You look..." Martha said giving him a nervous smile.

"How's the wife ?" Martha asked. Apparently she didn't know that Dewey and Gale were divorced.

"Okay, Mom, we're good. Thank you." Chad said trying to break the tension.

"All right, kids. Have fun." Martha said giving her son a look and she left the room.

"I asked Mindy to call everyone here because, there's something I have to tell you." Sam said. Sam proceeded to tell them about her father and what she learned.

"So let me get this straight. You're saying that you're the daughter of Billy Loomis, and, what, that one of us is the killer ?" Chad asked.

"The killer told me he knew my secret. He attacked Tara to lure me back here." Sam explained.

"But then why immediately go and murder some douche nozzle that was stalking Liv ?" Chad asked.

"Why does it have to be one of us ? What about Deputy Dewey here ? Maybe he's the killer." Wes suggested earning an offended look from Dewey and Max.
