The others went to the bar while Max stayed in Amber's car listening to music on his phone. They asked him if he wanted to go with them but he declined because he didn't like bars.

"So what's she like, the sister ?" Liv asked while the others were playing pool.

"Sam ? Sam is so cool." Chad said with a smile.

"You only say that because she let you wear Pokémon onesies to bed for a year." Mindy said.

"That's true. That's a true statement." Chad said.

"Trust me, Sam is not cool. Her dad left her mom, right ? Walks out when Tara's eight, Sam's thirteen. Sam started acting out, getting in trouble with the cops. And then, on Sam's 18th birthday, she leaves. Ghosts them all. Maybe Sam's changed. I just don't want to see Tara hurt again." Amber explained.

"So what, you're protecting Tara from her own sister now ?" Wes questioned her.

"Well someone has to." Amber said.

"Okay, so no guys are good enough for her and now her family's off limits, too ?" Wes asked.

"Mm, motive. If I can't have her, no one can." Mindy said with a smirk.

"What ?" Wes asked.

"We all know that you have a crush on Tara." Mindy said.

"Okay come on, Mindy." Wes said.

"But we're all suspects. Except maybe Liv." Mindy said.

"Thank you." Liv said with a smile.

"You're way too boring to be a suspect. Let's not forget about Max." Mindy said.

"Leave him out of this, Mindy." Amber warned.

"I get that you care for him, but you know what he went through as a kid. What if the trauma he went through as a child caused him to snap ?" Mindy asked.

"I've known him for years. I know he'd never do something like this." Wes said defending Max.

Later that night, Vince was murdered shortly after he and the others were kicked out of the bar. They were each questioned by the sheriff about what happened. Then there was an attack at the hospital and the sheriff went to the hospital to see what was going on. Amber went to see if Tara was alright and Max followed her there, they were currently in the hospital while the sheriff was talking to Sam.

"I've got a body outside of a bar in main, and then you get attacked here. You said the call came from Amber's number ?" Sheriff Judy questioned Sam. Sam nodded.

"So ? We know he cloned my phone before when he attacked Tara." Amber said while holding Max's hand.

"Or, and, um, I'm just spitballing here, you or your boyfriend are the killers." Richie accused causing Amber to glare at him.

"And where were you when all this happened ?" Sheriff Judy asked.

"I was watching Netflix." Richie said looking down.

"Oh yeah. Super solid alibi, bro." Amber said.

"So where were you two ?" Richie asked.

"I was questioning Amber and her friends at the sheriff's station." Judy answered.

"Yeah, I came as soon as I heard. But, you know, the Netflix alibi is good too." Amber said teasing Richie. Max chuckled at him.

"Both of you, stop it." Judy said reprimanding them.

"You're gonna put more cops on her room, right ?" Sam asked.

"Yes. And I can move you to a private floor. Deputy Vinson knows what he's doing, you'll be safe." Judy reassured.
