sunoo - focus
The wind blew through the air and the small leaves, with different colors such as red, yellow, orange, green and a little brown, fell down the ground leaving carpets of maple leaves on the street. The lined up row of colored trees complemented the blue sky and created a beautiful bright multi-colored painting in his eyes. The change in weather changed not only nature, but also the people walking down the streets. They no longer wore shorts with a simple thin top anymore, because that wouldn't keep them as warm as it did in summer. The temperature is not too cold to stay at home all day and also not too hot to have to carry a fan around.
Still, Sunoo couldn't bring himself to like this season, no matter how much he tried.
At this time of year, many memories flood back into his brain. They were never good ones that he wanted to remember. Maybe autumn was the season when everything changes the most, and even some people would suddenly completely turn into a new person. People change and behave as the seasons change, and maybe that's why it rains so much in November.
"You don't feel too constrained, do you?" he heard Jay say, sitting to his right and staring at him intently. "Tell me if you want to change seats." Sunoo shook himself out of all the thoughts he had built up as he stared out the window before realizing the situation he was in again.
- FOURTY MINUTES AGO
"Finally you're there. I thought you wouldn't come!" Heeseung said as he greeted Sunoo with a bright smile early in the morning. The front of the university was full of students and teachers and there were two huge buses at the parking lot. The week of the trip has finally arrived, which means five days of relaxation with friends are ahead for them - or at least that's how Sunoo imagined it 40 minutes ago."Alright alright, Ms. Jang's students can board the white bus slowly, and the art and physical education students can board the black bus after putting the luggage in the back.", Mr. Hong shouted through the chatter of noisy students, hoping that these students would pay attention to him.
Sunoo turned back to his friends and clung to Jungwon as he only counted six of them standing together. "Sunghoon isn't coming today?" he whispered to Jungwon, who was putting the luggage in the trunk. "I haven't seen him today and Niki said he doesn't answer his phone, so I'm not sure."
"Oh really..?"
The six boys made their way to the entrance of the black van. The line was longer than expected and by the time they got to the queue they were almost the last six in line. The bus was big so there were three seats on each side, that's why they decided to split into two groups. "Then I'll share it with Sunoo and Jungwon," Jay said, hanging his arm over the two boys.
TEN MINUTES LATER, they finally got on the bus, with many students already comfortably seated. It was packed and it looked like they wouldn't be able to be the ones to choose their seat.
Some girls had reserved some seats in the back for the Decelis boys, and so with the help of Niki's flirting skills they managed to get some seats next to each other. "Who does this bag belong to?" Jay asked, staring at an empty space for three people with a black Pr*da bag on the aisle seat. "It's okay, I'll just sit in the back with Jake. You both sit there." Jungwon smiled and went to the seat right behind them and took off his shoes comfortably next to Jake, ready to sleep.
Jay slowly leaned forward to look at the familiar bag placed on the empty seat, trying to figure out who the owner was. "This bag-"
"That bag is mine, Jay. It's kind of rude to touch a stranger's things." They heard Sunghoon say, standing right behind Sunoo.
Sunoo felt his large presence behind him and the warm breath leaving his mouth as he spoke. Has Sunghoon always been that much taller than me?
"Dude. Where have you been all this time, we were looking for you?"
"Went out with our fan club to take some pictures."
"Park Jay, Park Sunghoon and the little red-haired guy, please sit down. We're about to start the trip." Mr. Hong shouted again.
A whisper reached Sunoo's ear from behind, before he could reach his seat; "Sit in the middle seat, Sunoo, it's less bumpy there."
- CURRENTLY
That's basically how he ended up in this situation, sharing seats with Jay and Sunghoon.During the entire ride, neither of them really spoke to each other, except for Jay asking Sunoo every five minutes if he needed anything. Only a few words were exchanged between the Decelis boys before they all fell silent again, probably falling into a deep sleep.
There wasn't necessarily little legroom, but Sunoo found it difficult to sit between two men who were manspreading. In addition, due to the strange route, the bus was a bit wobbly and it wasn't possible to prevent their legs to bump into each other.
Jay dug around in his bag, pulled out three strawberry milk drinks and offered them to the two sitting to his left. "I got them this morning, they're so good you should try them."
Looking at the drinks, Sunghoon said in a casual voice, "I'm lactose intolerant and Sunoo shouldn't take it either because he'll feel carsick if he drinks it on the bus. Thanks though, dude."
Sunghoon wasn't wrong at all and Sunoo wasn't surprised that he knew it, since there were many incidents that happened when they traveled together back then. However, Sunoo couldn't refuse Jay's drink like that and accepted it with a smile. It's been years since he got sick after drinking or eating in the car, so he should be fine, he thought. It wasn't a long drive until they got to Incheon Airport anymore, so he took small sips of the drink while holding on to the plastic container with both hands.
fuck, i feel sick.
