"What about this dress?" Grace said at the mall. My mom is taking us prom dress shopping so she can lighten the mood.
"I really like it." It was blue and sparkly with black lining.
"Yes but it's not me, I think I'm going to wear a short dress, I can dance better." She laughed and headed back into the changing room.
"Hannah how about you try on a dress." My mom urged.
"Thanks mom, but even if I was going i'd wear one I already have. I know you have a lot of medical bills to pay." I worked up a smile.
"Hold up, Hannah you are going to prom!" Grace stepped out of the dressing room in a hot pink cupcake dress and sternly glared at me.
"No one has asked me, I can't go without a date." I said, and I'm serious are school makes a huge deal about having a date. It's social suicide if you don't.
"Hannah, why can't you go with Nate?" Grace comforted.
"I totally embarrassed myself in front of him!" I squealed. I didn't tell her about the kiss, I could never tell anyone.
I turned around because I heard arguing and then Justin looked at me with a smile. Delilah was still ranting but it was obvious he stopped listening to her.
"Why can't you go with me?" Justin said with Delilah on his arm and she slapped him.
Damn. That looked like it hurt too.
"Uh are you being serious? What are you even doing here?!" I yelled at him. Delilah is going to kill me. I better not get bitch slapped like Justin or I'm going down for sure.
"He is bringing his girlfriend dress shopping! You whore!" She screamed at me in fury.
"Mom don't worry about it." I said as my mom looked quite angry.
"Delilah, chill. Go with Grant. I want a real date." He shrugged but still looked at me with a cheeky smile.
"No, I can't go with you. Besides its like weeks away. I don't have to rush." I shrugged back.
"Alright, just know I'm single now. I'm breaking up with Delilah, she's not my type." He said sitting next to my mother giving her a hug.
"Nice to see you again." He said to her.
"I'm just going to mind my own business." She chuckled.
"Alright.. I guess I'll see you later? Bye Grace, by Han." He said.
"Oh wait Han, can I have your number?
I just- you know? Science, and uh-texting with uh." He said nervously coming back and handing me his phone.
"Yea I know exactly what you mean." I laughed typing in my number rolling my eyes.
"Let's get a pic for my contact!" He said holding up the phone for me and Justin to take a selfie. I was excited because he was excited and it felt like we were little again.
I made the duck face and Justin scrunched up his nose. I put the timer on 4 seconds and pressed the button to take the picture. As the timer reached two seconds he used his index. Finger to turn my face and he kissed me, on the lips.
"Ahem, uh err." I pulled away but the picture was already taken.
"Thanks for the contact pic, I'll be texting you a lot now." He blushed and walked away quickly because he probably thought I wad going to kill him.
"Um, do you like that boy?" My mom chuckled.
"Yea... I think I do." I smiled and my phone buzzed.
