"Can I eat your lip gloss off?"
"Is this you asking to make out with me?"
"Yes or no, sweetheart?"
I laugh, pressing a hand to my boyfriend's chest as I gaze up at him. After dinner, Max asked me if I had wanted to go up and see his room. Seeing as I had yet to see the place that Max calls his own room, I decided to say yes. Once we got to the room, I took a look around.
Max had a lot of things on the walls. Most of them look like old posters of movies, football players, or artists. All of which hang on his wall, some of them ready to fall off. I looked at a black spot on his wall and pointed, "You should put me up there."
"Great idea!" Max had said it with the biggest grin we could muster. "So now I can wake up to look at you all the time."
"I was kidding!" I said to him with a giggle, but he only shook his head at me. I was hoping that he wasn't serious about that; it would be too much for my liking. After I had taken a look around his room, Max and I came back to the center of his room. Which is where he asked me that question.
"Max, eating my lipgloss doesn't sound like it's healthy," I say to him as I scrunch my nose up at the end. Max only smiles at me, moving over to his desk and grabbing a sheet of tissue. His hand moves to my face, where he cups my chin and places the tissue in my mouth. He wipes it clean, his tongue poking at the inside of his cheek as he concentrates hard on what he is doing. After he is done, he throws the tissue back at him, and I turn around to find that it had made it into the trash bin by his desk.
"Now, can I kiss you?" Max whispers, and I only answer by bringing our lips together. Kising Max is one of the greatest things I've ever done. I could do it over and over again without growing tired of it. Our lips move together in a slow and lingering way, one that tells me Max is taking his time.
"Baby, you said we could try that one thing," I remind Max once we come up for air. Max opens his eyes to look at me and says, "Daisy, you're going to kill me one day."
"I don't think so; I love you."
"Your obliviousness mixed in with your curiosity will kill me," Max says, working on his point. I give him a pointed look and say, "What do you mean?"
"You can't just ask to kiss me a certain way," Max says, still with a smile.
"But you say we can try it," I tell him with a frown. Max laughs, bringing his finger to my lip and pressing on it. I sigh audibly and continue to look up at him.
"I did," Max answers my previous question. "We can."
"Then what's the problem?" I ask him once he removes his finger from my mouth.
"The problem is that your boyfriend tends to feel a lot when you ask these questions," Max answers back quietly as he looks into my eyes.
"I like that you feel a lot," I say to him with a grin. "I do too. So can I kiss you or what?"
Max laughs at the eagerness in my voice as I place my hands back over his neck. Max stands up straighter, which causes me to feel my feet off the ground, which then prompts me to wrap my legs around his torso. "Oh, I love doing this," I whisper to Max.
"I love that you do," Max says right before placing our lips together again. Once our kiss starts, I'm not aware of anything else but the way he tastes in my mouth. I never thought I could come to like kissing this much or that I could lose time doing it. I don't realize that Max moves forward until I squeal and hold on to him tighter. Max wraps his hand around my back as well as he walks toward his bed.
Max drops me on the bed with a soft thud, and I gasp at the contact. Max only grins at that before he climbs on top of me and starts to kiss me again, his lips on mine for a second before moving to the side of my face. I'm breathing hard as his lips move over my jaw and toward my neck. His lips are testing the skin on my neck, and I have to claw my finger into his arm to steady myself.
