Katie watched her son with a fond and soft smile as he kept hurrying into the kitchen, standing on his kitchen stool to try and peek out of the back window. Hoping to spot  the twins heading outside to play, have been looking forward to summer holiday just so he could play with his new friends as much as possible. 

Katie had hinted for her son to just head over to the backdoor of the Shirogane household and knock. Ask if the twins wanted to play instead of waiting to see if he'd spot them head outside by themselves. But her son didn't want to seem overly keen or desperate to play basketball with them. 

Leaving her to merely laugh and leave him be in the kitchen without a worry when she did hear a knock at their front door. Leaving her son to sit like an dog awaiting their owner to return from work.

Her good mood and smile soon faded the moment she opened the door and took notice over two faces from her past. Faces she's never met in person and had only known from a few photos her ex held.

Zarkon and Honerva Galran, the married couple who owned the Daibazaal company and one of the riches people in the city and across the world. They were known for selling and designing medical equipment and machines. As well as having their hands dipped into the military weapons as well.

Father and Mother of their son, her ex, who had left home as soon as he could and chose to walk his own path instead of being their perfect heir. Leaving him disowned by his parents until he came back to his senses. 

Katie knew them from stories and photos only. Having seen more of them on news than the few photos her ex had held. He rarely spoke over his parents and when he did, their were a deep bitterness to his tone. 

"Lotor doesn't live here anymore. Incorrect, he's never lived here" Katie sighed as she stayed standing in her doorway, knowing that they won't be finding their son here. He's never actual moved in here before leaving her. 

"We've came for her grandson" Zarkon announced as he looked over her head, trying to spot the boy and frowning when he couldn't see him in the space the view from the doorframe gave him. 

"No" Katie sternly replied, any good will lost between them.  

"We will sue you for grandparents rights" Zarkon warned her with a disapproving frown over her making trouble for them. 

"No. We'll be fighting you for full custody. He deserves a better life than you could give him and we'll make sure he grows to be somebody in the future. Not a mere nobody. I won't allow our bloodline to be stained yet again" Honerva rasped back as she corrected her husband, making it clear they'd be gaining full legal action and guardianship over their grandson. Acting as if they were doing what was best for the boy and not for themselves. 

"Fight for him because I am not giving up my son to two demanding witches. I would have been willing to allow you to be apart of his life if you had came to apologize and ask for a second chance. But you've thrown any shot of being in my son's life out of this planets reach by trying to threaten me with court" Katie hissed back as she stood bigger in the door, not going to let a single one of them pass and take her son from her. She would be willing to have given them a second chance to be apart of her son's life but after them clearly deciding to just take her son, she wasn't going to let them be apart of her son's life at all.
