Side Note: I wanted to add a short and sweet chapter after Katie had faced so much in such a little time.

**************************************

Katie had grown to feel lighter after her talk with Shiro. As well as feeling the butterflies flutter in her stomach as she remembered his words, "to give up you" still left her warming at the face. She knew he was most likely trying to cheer her up but she liked the sound over him thinking she wasn't worth to lose.

It left returning to her normal life much easier. Teddy happily playing with the girls almost daily, as if all three were trying to catch up on lost time. The animals were all getting along as if nothing changed, none of them acting protective or clingy anymore.

And Katie just felt at peace.

Sometimes she'd find herself daydreaming over any possibilities with Shiro and his family. Knew they could grow to be a blended family someday. Maybe knock down the wall in their living rooms to turn their two homes into one large one.

She wasn't sure if she wanted to move if she ever did grow into an romantic relationship, with anyone. She knew she got the house with her ex but the house was never theirs. It was HER home and soon turned into her family home.

She's had so many fond memories created there, not a single bitter memory involving her ex at all. Just a good and loving family memories filling it instead. And she knew Shiro's home had grown to be the same for him and his daughters.

So, she liked the idea if they ever grew brave enough to chance a serious relationship that lasted, they'd merely knock down the wall between their homes to join them as one.

It was a silly idea but she liked to waste time thinking over a future where they shared one home together.

And maybe her giggly mood had shown even as she pulls on the mask and flies the sky as Spider-Chick. She knew Dare Devil has been sending her some strange looks, wondering why she had just a skip into her leaps. Deadpool hasn't stopped humming love songs as he guesses what might make their unsociable and snarky hero act like an teenager again.

It didn't help that Romelle pulled her into under Iverson's orders and did a drug test on her. To make sure she wasn't high or worse, hasn't been drugged with some new drug by an villain.

Apparently Spider-Chick couldn't randomly be happy without it involving some type of dark humour she likes.

Hence she was happy when Keith offered to take Teddy for the day, to let her patrol during daylight. In truth, why it wasn't often, both Teddy and Keith adored their one on one day outs together. The uncle and Nephew duo would always have a blast with each other and create special memories together.

The rare uncle and nephew day outs had helped win Keith over on wanting his own growing family someday. He'd always been scared over failing as a father, to someday leave his child like his mom did or die on duty like his father. But bonding with Teddy in his own way had helped him to warm up to the idea over starting a family being worth the uncontrollable risks in life. It left Keith knowing he'd be a great father as he was already an good uncle.

Katie trusted her future brother in law, he was her best friend after all. But it didn't stop Spider-Chick casually swinging past on patrol to coo over the pair bonding and spending a day out together. More so when she knew Keith wasn't a picture person and rarely took photos, meaning barely any memories were kept frozen in a single photo taken.

No one could see the fond smile filling Spider-Chick's lips as she watched her best friend help her son try to climb the climbing wall on the children's playground. It wasn't very high, the same height of Keith himself. But to Teddy's tiny frame, it looked like an mountain.

Keith had started off kneeling as Teddy started to climb. Ready to catch the boy if he slipped or struggled. Having one hand on Teddy's butt as he stood to stand, pushing Rover up when he struggled to reach certain climbing rocks. Both using team up to climb the wall and Teddy cheering with an face splitting beaming smile as he stood at the top in victory. Keith clapping and smirking back, pride in his eyes over his nephew being able to do it.

Neither caring that the boy needed an adult's help, both just thrilled that he climbed it.

These small moments of happiness was what Spider-Chick had always wanted to protect.

Don't get her wrong, she liked saving the day and saving lives.

But she couldn't save everyone.

She knew that.

So, she saved the happiness she could protect.

Made the city safe enough for families, friends and anyone to create a happy and lasting memory in the moment.

She's cherish and defend the moments of happiness for all in this city until her last breath.
