You had spent the previous hours getting ready before climbing onto your roof. Patiently awaiting his arrival. Your stomach was already filled with butterflies. You found yourself fidgeting anxiously with your hair. You weren't sure when he was going to arrive, as the sun began sinking lower in the sky your hopes dropped little by little.

"Waiting for me lass?", a familiar voice greeted. Your heart immediately jumped once more.

"No I just enjoy sitting on my roof", you teased in response. Offering his hand you gladly took it, pulling you onto his back he leapt from your roof swinging from building to building quickly gaining a speed and momentum.

You had gotten quite used to this way of flying. What once seems horrifying was now magical to you. No matter how many times you flew through the air like this it never got boring. It always got your heart racing... and maybe the company had a part in that.

"So where are you taking me", you asked, your voice barely audible above the whipping wind.

"Close your eyes. You'll see soon" he replied. A little suspicious you closed your eyes following his request. You felt vulnerable, having lost a few of your senses but at the same time you felt safe with him. Feeling the wind rushing past grow gradually slower unil it came to a stop and you felt your feet touch the ground. Taking your hand in his he guided you a little further your eyes still closed. Now the curiousity was eating away at you. Where could you possibly be?

"Ok now open",

Opening your eyes you were met by the sunset along with a small picnic like setup on the building. Small candles were littered around making the atmosphere feel. Romantic?

"You did this?", you asked slightly shocked, taking in the beautiful environment.

"I am capable of creating nice things once in a while yknow", he joked taking your hand and sitting with you.

"So did I read this 'personal imterview' correctly?", he asked using air quotations.

"Yeah", you replied still a little lost for words. All this. For you? You couldn't believe it. Did he feel the same about you?

"So Y/N. I've known you for months yet the only thing I know about you is that you write articles about me", he joked.

"And I've known you for months and know literally nothing about you so, you're one to talk", you fired back.

The two of you talked for what felt like hours, things were going better than you ever could have hoped. Despite how amazing things were going one question still burned away at your heart. You leaned closer to the man before extending a hand and running along his masked face cupping his cheek for a moment. He accepted the touch placing one of his hands on your thigh.

"Y/N", he mumbled his voice filled with defeat.

"who are you really? Spider-Punk?", You questioned cautiously running a hand beneath his mask. Removing his hand from your thigh he immediately switched from, allowing himself to vulnerable to his usual self.

"That's classified", he replied simply before gently removing your hand from the mask.

"We should go, it's getting late. I'll take you home", He added standing breaking the short moment. He hesitated a moment he seemed regretful, yet relieved at the same time. It was obvious he had a decision to make and he was avoiding it at all costs. In the brief moment of hesitancy you didn't waste another moment to say what was on your mind rising to your feet you knew you had to do this.

"I want to know... I want to know who I fell in love with", your voice dropped to nearly a whisper. Your hands were shaking with nerves you couldn't believe you'd actually said it. The silence was unbearably loud as you stood on that roof waiting, praying for a response.

He seemed to think for a moment as if your words had completely frozen him. Your heart was racing, you wanted to believe he felt the same, but this reaction wasn't promising.

"Please. Say something", you pleaded with the man. He hesitated once more before turning back to you.

"You don't love me Miss L/N. You don't even know me. You don't know what happens to people who get too close", his tone was serious yet filled with pain.

He had completely switched from being gentle to almost threatening. You felt your heart rate spike with fear, you didn't want to be scared of him but something about the way he spoke and how approached you terrified you. Without seeing his face you couldn't truly judge how he was feeling. You couldn't judge if you'd have to run. You couldn't judge what was about to happen next.

"You only know what I want you to know. You only see what I want you to see", he continued

With a shaky hand you extended it to his masked cheek.
"I can tell you're scared... Though you'd never admit it", you replied as he slightly leaned into the touch.

"I'm never scared Y/N", he added. Turning away from you once more.

"Then why don't you tell me who you are? If you're not scared", you added not ready to admit defeat just yet.

"Because you won't like who I am behind this mask", he seemed so sure yet there was still an element of pain behind his voice. Your heart ached at his words. It seemed like he was never going to let you in. Before you could try to reassure him he cut to the chase once more.

"Now let's get you home", he added putting an end to your hopes of actually meeting the man you fell in love with.
