"That's a really good question El," you laugh awkwardly "Wish I could give you an answer," you add and you make an effort to walk past her but she puts an arm in front of you. "You can," she frowns with a slight tilt of her head.
There's not much else you can argue so you let out a heavy sigh. "I'll tell you and Andre at the same time, via trio face time call," you promise and it seems to be good enough for Elora. "Okay, tonight." She demands and that was the end of that conversation.
"What part are you auditioning for?" you ask curiously changing to the topic of auditions as the two of you resume walking. "Beauty and I think I've got this in the bag," she tells you confidently. You only smile at her in response as you both turn down a hall.
"Hey," Elora starts and you look at her to see her eyebrows knitting together. As if she was about to ask you a question. "What's up?" you reply waiting for her to continue. "I remember once you told me and Andre that you did The Sleeping Beauty before but you never told us what part you had," she says as if it's a question.
Your brain pauses at the mention of the memory and suddenly you feel nervous. "It was in Junior High," you respond before swallowing hard. You guys had now been closer to the practice room where auditions were being held. "Long story short someone didn't show up and I didn't perform well because I was distracted," you finish quickly—trying to get it over with.
"Oh so like bad memories?" Elora asked for clarity and you nodded. "Yeah pretty much," She didn't press any further as you finally arrived at the practice room doors. A few other people were starting to pile into the hall behind you guys and you spoke up to everyone.
"Good luck everyone!"
Auditions went well you think, That's what you told yourself when you arrived back at your apartment anyway. With how quickly Sakusa made decisions the cast list would probably be sent out tomorrow. Sometimes the whole studio thought she either was a psychic or had already seen the auditions. Or she had made up her mind before anyone even auditioned.
Either way, she was too quick with the cast lists but that's how she always was with things. Quick and punctual.
You didn't get to do much relaxing when you got back home because Elora had started a FaceTime call in your trio group chat with Andre.
When you had joined the call Andre still hadn't picked up the phone."He's probably asleep, or at practice—" you start hoping he wouldn't answer. Only because then you could postpone explaining yourself. But just your luck Andre joined while you were speaking and Elora squealed.
