The next night is the opening night for A Midsummer Night's Dream, some kids are more nervous than others and you give them a pep talk backstage. Then it led you to swap with Aoi so she sat in the audience to observe their performance and you stayed backstage to comfort the nervous kids.

For every act that comes and goes you're reassuring everyone as they walk by you. Truly they all were doing amazing—you were more than proud of their performances. By the end of the show, you'd gotten emotional and started tearing up. It was so random, that most of the kids ended up comforting you and applauding your skills as an instructor and director.

When Aoi had met all of you backstage to give a quick speech as you guys normally did you couldn't articulate very many words.

"To say the least we are very proud of you all," Aoi smiles as she rubs your back comfortingly. "Come back tomorrow with the same energy but on ten and you're all going to be stars!" she tells them before dismissing them to get changed and head out to their parents.

When all of the kids dismiss, Aoi turns to you confused. "Y/n what's wrong?" she whispers confused. "You're never this emotional--on opening night at least," she adds quickly. In response you shrug, "I'm not quite sure myself," you admit, embarrassed as you wipe away your tears. "Well I wanted to let you know that the anonymous donor ended up showing up," she tells you which causes your glossy eyes to light up.

"Did they really?" You ask shocked to which Aoi hums in response with a nod. "He's out in the hallway—he wanted to meet you," she says and suddenly you're worried about your appearance. "Oh god—is my mascara running? I don't wanna embrace myself," you ramble and the woman assures you that you look fine.

You nod at her trusting her statement, but you can't help but readjust your black dress and try to fix your hair without a mirror. When you got to the door that led to the hallway from backstage you nervously peeked your head out and at first, you looked to the right and saw nobody.

Then as you step outside you turn to the left and are confused when you see Atsumu Miya standing there, in a suit, with a huge bouquet of red roses in his hands.

"What are you doing here?" you ask taking steps toward the blond, "I thought you would've been back in Osaka by now?" you tilt your head confused. Not only by his presence but you don't even let him get a word out when realization hits you. "Wait you're the anonymous donor?"

"Surprise?" He nervously laughs--unsure if you were mad at said surprise. "But how?" you murmur still completely lost at the reveal. "Ko had told me a few months back about your studio and I couldn't stop myself from looking it up—and then I saw all the hard work you put into it. I was really happy for you, and I just wanted to do something to help out," he explains lowering his head just a little bit because your expression was unreadable at the moment.

"Are ya mad?" he asks in response to your silence.

You shake your head slowly and let out a small laugh, "No, why would I be mad?" You tilt your head at the blond. He doesn't even know why you would—he was really just nervous to be there right now.

"The show was great," Atsumu compliments glancing behind you nervously which causes you to turn around you see most of your students peeking around a corner. As soon as you spot them they all peek their heads back to where they were hiding and you couldn't help but smile. "I originally wasn't going to come—but when you told me Aoi was trying to get me to come I thought; 'Why not?'" he explains.

Hesitantly he took one step closer to you and held the bouquet to you, "These are for you," he said and you smiled as you accepted the vibrant red bouquet. "Thank you, they're beautiful," your face is slowly growing warm and you're feeling something so familiar stir in your stomach.

Not to mention the way your heart rate began to speed up. Then you take in a deep exhale, "Also thank you for coming," you say "The donation helped a lot," you tell him as you nervously mess with the stem part of the bouquet. "It's the least I could do, but," he pauses and it only makes your nerves grow.

"There is another reason I decided to come here tonight," he admits and you patiently wait for him to continue. You fix your eyes onto his to give him your full attention, trying your absolute best to ignore the small giggles in the distance behind you.

"I have to be honest, I couldn't leave here without telling you in person, that I really do wanna give this another try," he admits stumbling over his words. "I know that if I leave here without telling you that, I will regret it for the rest of my life," he confesses and your mouth just falls agape slightly.

"What about the distance?" you breathed quietly just barely at a loss for words.

He inches closer to you and takes your free hand in his and holds it gently. "There's a team I can play for here, I can commute to work if I have to," he says and you swallow hard as he continues. "As long as I can wake up next to you every morning and come home to you every day I don't care. I just now that in the three years, you were out of my life I still spent every second of every day thinking about you or trying not to,"

As the words pour out of his mouth you almost can't find the words to describe how you feel. So you both sit in a comfortable silence for a moment before you hesitate to get your words out. "In those three years away from you I spent all of my time focusing on myself," you say truthfully. "I thought I was doing just fine until you came here—I'd suddenly felt like an unsolved puzzle whose missing piece had just been found," you continued slowly.

"Yesterday morning when I thought I wouldn't see you again, I was sure of how I had felt about you Atsumu," you choke out as tears are suddenly falling down your face. "The thought of being without you again killed me inside," recalled through tears.

The blond brought his other hand to your face and gently wiped your plush tear-stained cheeks.

You try your best to look at the man through your blurry vision and he holds your face tenderly before inching his face closer to yours. "So can we give this another try?" he asks and you can feel his cool breath on your lips. You nod, "I'd love to," and before you know it your lips are pressed against his.

They move together in perfect harmony and you swear you feel a spark for the first time all over again. Atsumu smiles into the kiss as you throw your hands around his neck—bouquet still in hand.

Suddenly you hear small voices cheering and clapping in the distance behind you causing you both to stop and glance behind you.

There stood your students no longer hiding behind a corner all jumping for joy and clapping at the sight.

You were finally getting the happy ending you deserved.
