CHAPTER THIRTEEN: TEENAGE DIRTBAG

FRESHMAN YEAR OF high school has been very eventful for Danny Buckley so far. He was known as a bad boy to most of the girls at Hawkins High, but despite that, he had gotten a girlfriend at the start of the second semester. Shayna Moner was who Danny spent most of his time with. Shayna was a cheerleader which surprised Danny when he first met her since she was such a grungy person. According to Shayna, her mother had forced her to try out and surprisingly, Shayna was accepted but most of the team didn't like her. Due to all the time Danny spent with her, she was constantly skipping or showing up late to practices, games, and pep rallies. Just like usual, Shayna was late to the morning pep rally and Danny was the cause.
Danny placed his hands on Shayna's hips and pulled her closer to him as they made out behind the gym. The morning bell had rang moments prior but they were too distracted by each other that they didn't hear it. Shayna moved her lips from Danny's and went down his jaw to his neck, sucking softly. Danny already had a couple of hickeys on his neck and down his chest from his girlfriend and Shayna was eager to add more. Shayna liked all the girls of Hawkins High to know that she was his.
The moment Shayna heard the marching band start to play, she removed her lips from Danny's neck. Her eyes widened, "Shit!" Danny gently gripped her hips tighter, preventing her from running off which made Shayna roll her eyes. "Babe, I'm supposed to be out on the court right now. Chrissy's gonna kill me if I'm late."
"You said it yourself a few days ago that Chrissy's been acting weird," Danny reminded Shayna. Shayna chuckled, knowing Danny was trying to get her to stay and make out a little bit more. "She's not gonna care."
Shayna kissed Danny once more before pushing herself off of him, "I gotta go. We can continue this during lunch."
Danny sighed as Shayna winked at him and rushed into the gym where sure enough, the cheerleaders were already performing in front of the school. Danny followed her into the gym and made his way into the stands, finding Max, Dustin, and Mike and taking a seat beside Dustin who was having a heated debate with Mike about whose girlfriend was better and cooler.
When Dustin noticed Danny, he smiled, "Nice of you to join us."
Danny smirked, "Yeah, I was... busy."
Dustin nodded as he observed Danny's neck and saw the hickey that was forming, "Yeah, I see Shayna added another to your collection."
Danny rubbed his neck before rolling his eyes at Dustin. Mike observed Danny's neck as well and scrunched his face up in disgust, "Gross."
