Mae had spent all night getting to know her siblings. She had met her siblings right after she was claimed and adored them all immediately. She had six siblings and she was the second oldest. She had an older brother named Steven who is seventeen and the head counselor of their cabin, Masie who was fourteen, Mason who was thirteen, Lucy who was twelve, Elizabeth who was eleven and Allison who was ten.

They were all incredibly charming people and very sweet and friendly like her. Last night many girls from other cabins came to their cabin to get their hair done and let the younger girls paint their nails.

And she absolutely adored the cabin too. The inside of the cabin smells fruity like many different perfumes. The inner walls of the cabin were pink with white window trim, the curtains and beds were pastel blue and green as well as purple. There were no bunk beds in the Aphrodite cabin and each camper had their own four poster bed with brightly colored bed sheets and blankets as well as curtains for privacy. Between each bed, each of them had their own pale blue dresser/ vanity. The boys part of the cabin was separated by a light green sheet. Their side looked very similar to the girls.

Mae absolutely adored the sheets on her bed. They were silk sheets and her blankets were thick and felt like a cloud. Her entire bed actually felt like a cloud which she absolutely adored because she couldn't stand when beds were too hard or too soft. She also loved how cool her sheets were on her skin and how they felt on her skin.

When she woke up that morning, she felt more rested than she had in forever.

Currently, she was sitting on Masies bed while the girl braided her hair.

"I would say pick strawberries or maybe work at art?" Masie suggested while she finished the braid. The two were talking about the tasks that she would do while she was at camp.

"I would suggest sword training or even archery but you've never used either of those things have you?" Steven asked from his bed. Mae shook her head while she got up, walking over to her bed.

"I have actually. Every Friday since I was eight I have gone to archery and on Mondays I went to sword training. My dad signed me up when I was young but I hated them at first. I quickly loved them when I I realized how good I was at them." She chuckled while she pulled her baby converse on. Steven sat up as he pointed at her.

"Then you should work at sword training or archery. I'd be careful at sword training. Luke works there but he usually works with the younger kids. Clarisse is the one you need to look out for." Steven said.

Masie nodded frantically at that. "She's terrifying." She shuddered. Mae made a confused face as she looked back at Steven.

"Who's Clarisse?" She asked confused, having heard her siblings say her name once last night. He sighed.

"Clarisse is the daughter of Ares and head counselor of the Ares cabin. Shes absolutely terrifying. Gorgeous as hell but scary. Clarisse is a real piece of work. She hates everyone besides her siblings and she isn't always the nicest to them either. She's your age too, sixteen I think." He explained.

Mae couldn't explain it but she felt very intrigued by this Clarisse girl. She couldn't wait to see what she looked like since her brother had described her as being Gorgeous.

"I think I'll go pay a visit to Clarisse." She grinned as she stood up, making her way to the cabin door. The other two shared a look while she left the cabin, smiling at people as she passed.

"Mae!" Luke shouted as he ran over to her. She smiled at him as he walked next to her. "Morning Luke." She said as they began walking towards the archery field.

"Are you working in the archery field? Or the sword training?" He asked her. She grinned as she looked at him. "Sword fighting. I heard that you work with the younger kids. I also heard about Clarisse." She grinned, showing her excitement to meet the girl. Luke's head snapped to her and he shook his head.

"Mae, no. Clarisse is not friendly, she will completely destroy you. She is literally the complete opposite of you." He told her. But that didn't scare her at all if anything, it made her more interested in the girl she had been told was the complete opposite of her. She was counting on the fact that literally everyone loved Mae to help her with the girl. Everyone loved Mae after all.

"I'm counting on that." Was her reply as the two of them approached the sword training part of the field. They saw that there were already a few younger kids and only two older kids.

Mae immediately saw who she was looking for. In front of the older kids, was a gorgeous girl who had a strong, stocky build, with curly brown hair and eyes, and medium brown skin. She was yelling at the teenagers for something before she pushed them away from her, scowling. That had to be Clarisse.

Mae winked at Luke and walked over to Clarisse, stopping in front of her with a smile.

"You smell like a flower field. It reeks." Clarisse said, not looking at her. Mae's smile faltered as Clarisse looked at her finally. Clarisse scowled again as she stood up straight, crossing her arms. She was about 5'6, not much taller than Mae but just a bit.

"You're that Aphrodite kid. Yeah I heard about you." Clarisse said as she looked the girl up and down. Mae was slightly confused as to why the girl didn't feel drawn to her like most people do but she didn't let it bother her much.

"Good things I hope." Mae replied in her smooth voice. Clarisse raised an eyebrow at her and crossed her arms, clearly unbothered by her presence completely.

"Everyone says you're sweet. I think it's a big act. No one is as sweet as they say you are." The girl said as she rolled her eyes, ignoring the girl. Mae frowned at that. She thought she was a nice person...

Mae was confused by the fact that the girl seemed completely unbothered by her. She wasn't used to that at all and she didn't know how to react at all. She followed the girl as she began walking away, eager to talk to her to try to get a feel of her.

"Hey! I'll have you know that I am a nice person. It's not my fault that everyone seems to love me." Mae defended herself. Clarisse looked at her and crossed her arms while she raised an eyebrow, looking her up and down. Mae couldn't deny that she felt intimidated under the girls stare and felt slightly uneasy but she pushed that to she side while Clarisse clicked her tongue and slowly moved closer to her like she was stalking her.

"You wanna know what I think new girl?" Clarisse asked lowly as she glared at her. Mae didn't even get the chance to respond before Clarisse was talking again.

"You're a stuck up little brat who is so used to getting her way that she expects everyone to just fall at her feet. Let me tell you something, princess, I will not be that if that's what you think is gonna happen. I'm not gonna cry and beg for your attention at all because I don't care about you or your attention and I never will." She hissed before she walked away, purposely bumping into Mae.

Mae was left absolutely shocked. There was no way that that had just happened. Clarisse was completely resistant to her and from the looks of it, she completely hated her too. Mae was confused by that since Clarisse didn't even know her, so how could she hate her?

Mae frowned as she watched the girl walk away from the archery and sword fighting field. Luke chuckled as he looked at Mae and walked over to her, crossing his arms. "I warned you." He told her simply with a smirk. Mae shot him an annoyed look to which he just laughed at, not caring.

Mae found herself incredibly curious about Clarisse and her attitude towards her. She would have to get to the bottom of that. She didn't even care about the fact that her charm didn't even work on her but she instead wanted to know why she hated her despite knowing absolutely nothing about her.

Mae immediately felt something towards this girl that wasn't a crush- no it was more like.... She felt very intrigued by Clarisse in a way she couldn't explain. She wanted to know more about the girl.
