Im_Hot00 Is the reason I got so motivated to write this chapter to Tyty Pookie😘😝
When Mae woke up the next day, she had gone to the sword fighting/ archery field almost immediately. She felt a lot of emotions after the extremely intense nightmare she had the night before and she couldn't stop thinking about it. Why was her father in a cave? Who was the she that he mentioned? And the biggest question on her mind was why did she screamed for Clarisse as she fell into an endless void?
Her and Clarisse weren't exactly friends, probably the furthest thing from it if she was being honest no matter how much she wished it wasn't true. So why in the name of Hades did she dream about the situation she did?
She didn't really want to think about the rest of the dream right now. She was still pissed at her father for just leaving her here with his extremely poor explanation about everything and didn't even want to think about him.
Mae grabbed a bow and a few arrows, walking over to one of the targets. No one was out yet since it was still so early which she enjoyed. While she loved attention, she didn't mind some peace and quiet every once in a while. She inhaled deeply as she pulled the quiver back, aiming the bow before she let it go. It hit directly in the middle, straight on the bullseye. She grinned, happily before she held it on its side, pulling the quiver back and shooting another arrow. Not only did it hit the bullseye but it split the other arrow in half.
"Your aim is awful." Mae turned to the voice and saw a boy whom she had never met before leaning against a tree with his arms crossed.
She knew that he was lying. She had been doing archery for years and perfectly at that.
"Thanks..." She trailed off as she looked at him. He was a pale boy with brown curly hair that was clearly permed and cut terribly. His eyes were brown and oddly close together, his nose was skinny on the bridge till it became much bigger and he had extremely skinny lips.
He grinned as he nodded at the bow in her hand. "Your grip is too tight that's your first problem. I'm Gaige by the way." He said as he walked over to her. Mae had seen him around the past few days. He was the son of Hephaestus and a total player. He constantly walked around with a new girl on his arm and somehow, girls still liked him. He was a classic Fboy who treated girls like objects.
"Maeve. And I know who you are I've seen you around. Shocking you don't have a girl or three on your arm." She retorted. She looked at him and could tell that he didn't have very good intentions with her so she wasn't going to bother being kind to him at all, she wanted to make it very known that she wasn't interested in him at all, and she would do that in any means necessary even if it meant being a complete bitch to him.
Gaige laughed at that as he approached her. He was taller than her but quite a few inches but she didn't let that intimidate her. She didn't want to be nice to him because she could tell by looking at him that he wasn't the type to take no for an answer. Sure she was like that with Clarisse but if she knew that how she was acting made her uncomfortable in any way she would obviously stop. And she wasn't interested in her romantically as far as she knew.
"I saw a pretty girl come out here alone so I wanted to come see her. Is that so bad?" He asked as he smirked at her, brushing her hair out of her face. She immediately smacked his hand away and glared harshly at him. If looks could kill, he would be six feet under. He was already pissing her off beyond belief.
"One, don't touch me. Two, I'm very not interested." She said as she pushed him away from her. He ignored her and laughed as he shook his head a bit.
"You're lesbian. I heard about that. Bet I could change that though." He grinned. Mae's jaw dropped. Everything in her wanted to punch him in his stupid face at that. She hated when people said that stupid shit to lesbian people or gay people.
