Keefe

Keefe sat numbly as he watched the stretchers take the bodies away. 7 students and 2 teachers had died but no one would tell him if Sophie was one of them.

His friends were currently asking around but he couldn't. He watched as his friends walked back with solemn looks on their faces. If he could, he would've burst out crying but he was too numb.

Suddenly Linh gasped and pointed at something behind him. He whipped his head around to see Sophie talking with some guy in a tuxedo.

TUXEDO?

That's weird, he thought to himself but that was not important right now. He jumped up and ran to her with everyone following behind, tackling her with a hug, not caring if tuxedo man thought it was weird.

"Sophie! Where were you? What happened? Are you ok?"

She chuckled, "I'm ok. You don't have to worry."

He was about to point out that she didn't answer the other questions until he was so rudely interrupted by tuxedo man clearing his throat.

Sophie blushed and looked towards him, "Publicam renovationem postea collectivo dabo. Cygnus informatus eris capite." (Its latin. It means: I'll give the official update to the collective later. You'll be informed by the head swan. The head swan is Mr. Forkle)

Keefe was so confused when he heard this language. It sounded made up to him, so it was to his surprise when tuxedo man nodded and walked away.

"What was that about?"

"Nothing you need to worry about."

She said it with such conviction that he would've believed her, if it wasn't for the way she nervously fidgeted with her hands.

He narrowed her eyes but before he could interrogate her any further, a Porsche pulled up.

"Sophie, c'mon!"

The voice was familiar but he couldn't place it. Sophie smiled at him which had a touch of relief mixed in, "Sorry, gotta go. I'll see you soon," and with that she left.

Sophie

Sophie could feel his gaze boring into her back as the car sped away but she couldn't answer his questions right now.

"I KILLED ALVAR VACKER!"  Her mind screamed at her.

She buried her head in her hands in shame. Tiergan looked at her with concern in his voice. "You ok, Sophie?"

She shook her head and rasped out, "I killed Alvar Vacker."

Tiergan's eyebrows shot up but he didn't look at her with disgust like she thought he would.

"That is unfortunate... but you know it doesn't change anything, right?" he asked gently.

She peaked out from her hands, "It doesn't?" He shook his head.

"But what about Alden?"

"Ah, that's what you're worried about," he paused. "I'm sure Alden will feel immense grief but I know for a fact that he will not blame you. He knows you were just doing your job."

"And Fitz and Biana?"

"They won't know."

That made her feel a bit better until she realized that they wouldn't know how their brother died. Tears pooled in her eyes, obscuring her vision. She swiped violently at them, hating that she was showing weakness. She looked up, hoping that Tiergan didn't see them but unfortunately, the universe hated her.

"Try not to worry,, Sophie. We'll take care of it."

She nodded, not trusting herself to speak. She was dreading speaking with Mr. Forkle. All too soon that car pulled up to what looked like an abandoned house but was really a luxury Black Swan hideout.

She got of the car, slow like sludge, groaning internally when she saw Mr. Forkle standing in front of the hideout.

"Ms. Foster, we have a lot to talk about."

588 words!

This chapter was short and boring but I need filler chapters! Anyway, thanks for all 220 people that have read this so far but I'm pretty sure that a bunch of those views are me.

Enjoy!
