Akshita's pov
I couldn't believe the doctor's word and I was too numb or shocked to react. Coming out of her cabin I was still recovering from the shock. I don't know what she blabbered to me I didn't pay attention to it but thankfully Mummy did. My heart is beating rapidly it is crashing against my ribcage and I am still trying to absorb everything.
Little human is growing inside me.
My baby. Who will call me Mumma.
Tears brim my eyes and I close my eyes to let them fall free. Thousands of emotion blossom inside my stomach. This is so overwhelming for me.
"Akshita" My eyes shot open due a tug on my shoulder. My eyes meet with my mother's teary eyes which are shining in happiness.
"My baby is going to have a baby" She embrace me in a tight hug breaking into sobs.
"I am so happy" She mumbles and we pull apart.
"Ruko main abhi sabko ghar pe bulati hun" She quickly switch on her phone and starts calling everyone.
(Wait I call everyone at home right now)
"Hello Advik beta office se jaldi aa jana haan"
(Advik leave your office early today)
"Yaar Akshu bata bhi kyu bulaya itni jaldi office se mujhe ?" Advik bhaiya shouts tailing behind me.
(Now tell me why did you call me early from the office today ?)
"Yaar bhaiya thoda toh sabar rakho. Surprise hai" I turn around to face him getting irritated with his questions.
(Have some patience)
"Kaisa surprise---" his words were cut off in mid by the door bell.
(What surprise ?)
"Kon aaya iss waqt ?" He mumbles before opening the door. Sharma's enter with Niharika. My eyes meet with Aditya who blankly stares at me.
(Who is at this time ?)
"Aap sab yahan ?" Bhaiya asks in surprise and I pass him a glare.
(You all here ?)
"Bhabhi ne bulaya" Ishan replies with a cocky smile to which bhaiya roll his eyes.
(She called us)
"Aap sab aagye. Akshita ab jaldi se apna surprise dikhao sabko" Mummy insists while greeting my in-laws.
(Everyone is here. Akshita show your surprise now fast)
"Haan kaisa surprise hai ? Kisi ka birthday bhi nhi hai" Shivani di asks.
(Yes what surprise ? It's not anyone's birthday?)
"Come here everyone fast" I motion towards the living room.
With a smile I hand a box to Ma "Open it Ma". Furrowing her brows she takes the box and opens it. She pulls out a tiny baby sock which is tucked in the box.
