Aditya's pov

I was going to light my sixth cigarette when someone snatched the lighter from my hold. I was well aware of the person and I didn't bother to look up.

"Adhyansh" I warned.

"No I am not allowing you" He argued.

"Biwi mat ban meri. Jo hai voh toh gayab hai" I was about to take back the lighter but he threw it somewhere making me glare.

(You don't have to become my wife. The one who is, is nowhere to be seen)

"Your lungs will be damaged smoker" He gritted his teeth and I tossed the cigarette on his face.

"It's good I will die. It's worthless to live without her now" He plopped on the couch beside and patted my shoulder.

"Everything will be okay with tim--"

"Don't fucking complete the word. I don't want to hear it. It's a joke for me" my voice boomed in his basement and anger bloomed in my stomach.

"It's almost going to be 9 years of my sufferings. Fucking 9 years since I have lived like a normal human being. I don't even remember when was the last time I laughed wholeheartedly but I do remember when I cried last time. Only I know how I was surviving these years with a hope that with time everything will be fine. I thought everything will be in place once I find those blackmailers but no. Now I have lost that hope too. It has become worse. Am I that bad that I don't even deserve to live a single peaceful day ?" I let out my frustration in words but it couldn't subside the ache in my heart. A restless anger churned beneath my skin.

"It's been two days since Akshita got admitted into a hospital and I can't even meet her. She didn't care to inform me once about her health" My heart twisted in pain thinking about her health. Dozen possibilities raced through my mind.

The watchman of her building informed me that Advik took her to the hospital while she was unconcious and she didn't come back to the apartment after that. Adhyansh got to know from hospital that she was admitted as her blood pressure was fluctuating.

"So you will break her promise ?" Adhyansh had a 'are you serious' look ?.

Is the promise more important her health ?

"You know what I am going. I'll apologize to her for breaking the promise I made to her but I will go" I turned on my heels to walk past him but around to him.

He won't stop me ?
Am I doing right ?

"What ?" Adhyansh asked clueless.

"Nothing"

My steps halted involuntarily when I was about to enter her cabin. I could hear drum in my ears. I clenched my fist and stepped back. Irritation curled through me. I shouldn't be doing this.

What if she hates my presence ?

"You should go" I heard a feminine voice from behind and tilted my head to find Niharika.
