𝟓 - 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐞?

Tate's pov:
Blair and I were having a conversation and I just had to tell her something important. I used to like her when we were in high school, I didn't want to mess anything up so I never told her but being around her for the first time in awhile made me realize that my feelings have always been here.

Sometimes I wonder how I made it through high school without telling Blair about how I felt. I think secretly she liked me back but I also didn't want to say anything and then find out that she never did like me in that way.

Being around her just made my heart jump out of my chest. We would always say we were friends but anytime we were in different areas of the room I would always look at her and she would catch me. Once she caught me she just held eye contact with me until someone or something snapped either one of us out of it.

"Blair, I have to admit something." I said looking at the ground and fidgeting with my hands

"What is it?" Blair asked trying to meet my eyes

"I liked you in high school and if I'm being completely honest I never stopped." I said looking up

"Tate, I liked you too and ever since we started hanging out again all of the feelings came back." Blair said looking into my eyes

"I didn't want to tell you because I didn't want to mess anything up but I guess I should've said something a lot sooner." I said smiling

"I understand that because I felt the same way." Blair said

"So what does this mean for us now?" I asked

"Well I don't want to jump into anything so soon because I just got out of a relationship but we can just keep on talking and see where we go from here." Blair said smiling

"Sounds good to me." I said smiling

Blair and I finished getting ready and talked about random things. We took a few photos together before we left Blair's room. Blair grabbed two water bottles from her fridge and handed one to me, I took the water bottle and immediately opened it taking a drink. I closed the water bottle and then we grabbed our stuff and left. We walked to my car and once we got in my car I started it and drove out of the driveway.

I was focused on the road but I kept glancing over at Blair and she just looked so gorgeous. She put on her playlist, the song that was playing right now was bad idea by Ariana Grande, she just started singing and dancing along to the song and I just admired how cute she was although she caught me.

Blair got all shy and everything, I thought it was the cutest thing in the entire world. I wouldn't say I'm in love but deep down I knew I was in love with this girl. Everything about her was perfect, her hair, her smile, her eyes, the way she talks, the way she looks at people when they are talking, just everything about her is so perfect.

I kept on driving while Blair started dancing again and I just smiled as I kept on glancing over at her. I missed going on late night drives with her, going shopping together, talking about anything and everything, and just being in each other's presence. The song had ended and Blair looked out the window as the next song started to play. The song now playing was Starboy by The Weeknd, I saw Blair tapping on the window out of the corner of my eye.

Blair looked at me before speaking up, "I appreciate you coming with me but you didn't have to if you didn't want to." Blair said leaning her head on the seat

"I wanted to come and besides I have to help you look your best at my concert." I said glancing at Blair and smiling

"Had a feeling you would say that." Blair said smiling as she looked out the window
