Family Ties (2) Part 1

"You really should come in." Andiswa says from inside the pool. "Soon." I say pulling from my J. "Actually..." She says getting out. She walks towards me and sits on a chair next to me. I give her the J and sit back.

Andiswa and I were home alone, well not necessarily. Our parents went to buy some groceries so we were chilling by the pool cause it's hot as hell.

It's been two months now, and Andiswa and I have stopped sneaking around. We actually stopped the night of Mogodu Monday. She said we should stop and it was better that way. The only reason I went back was to prove a point.

We finished the J after some ten minutes and we're just chilling now. Andiswa's phone started ringing and she answered.

"I'm out." She says standing up. "Where to?" I ask. "Date." She says then I laugh. "Enjoy." I say then she hits my arm. "I genuinely meant it ey." I say laughing at her.

"Also get cuffed. We need those double dates." She says then I look at her weirdly. "I'm not gonna date cause you say so. Besides I don't do all of that." I say shaking my head.

"Could be good for you." She says shrugging her shoulders. "Haha. Go do your stuff." I say pushing her away. She laughs leaving. I'm not the dating type and I don't really want to be that type. Dating is scary in this generation.

I stand up and get inside the house. I go get the speaker from the TV room then go back outside. I play What If A Woman by Joe. I go back to the house and go to the garage. I grab a cooler box and go to the kitchen. I put in some ice in the cooler and my drinks then go back outside.

I close my eyes as I lay back.

"Sims." I hear Andiswa's voice followed by a nudge. I open my eyes and see her next to me. "I'm leaving." She says then I sit up and look at her. She had on a cute white summer dress with silver heels. Her hair was up in a bun, and she had light makeup. "Enjoy." I say nodding my head.

"You can say it." She says then I laugh. "Don't do anything you'll regret." I say laying back down. "You know that's not what I meant." She says hitting me. "That's what I meant." I say shrugging my shoulders. "You are hopeless. Let me leave you." She says then I salute her. "Bye." I say then I see her shadow leave.

I'm woken up by my phone ringing then I pick it up and answer.

-Sims, come outside. My dad says on the other line.

-Cool.

I hang up then stand up. I go to the garage and open it. I see the car parked there. "Welcome back." I say then Aunt Khanyi rolls her eyes.

"Sims, I have an emergency meeting to get to, I'm going to see you two later." He says then I nod my head. He kisses Aunt Khanyi's cheek then gets in his car and drives off.

"So why was I called?" I ask looking at her. "To help with the groceries." She says pointing at her car. "Ohhh. I'm not a man by the way." I joke then she laughs.

"Okay, would you like to help me cook, and do the washing and wash the windows and-" I cut her off. "Yeah, you made your point." I say then she shrugs her shoulders and gets inside the house. I shake my head then get the groceries inside the house. When I'm done I close her boot then go to her in the kitchen.

I sit by the kitchen island. "Where's Andiswa?" She asks. "Date." I say then she turns to look at me. "With?" She asks then I shrug my shoulders. "I'm yet to find out." I say. "How do you allow your sister to go meet someone we don't know?" She asks going back to packing the groceries.

"What if it's nothing serious. Now I need to know all her little girlfriends." I say then she looks at me. "Nah, for real. I don't wanna meet every bastard out there." I say then she laughs.
