My phone woke me up as it was ringing. I picked it up and put it against my ear without checking who the caller was.
-Hello?
-Hey, can you come over?
-Why?
-I wanna see you.
I let out a sigh then closed my eyes.
-Give me ten minutes.
-Okay, bye.
I put my phone down on the pedestal then turned facing the other side. I eventually got up after a few minutes then walked to my bathroom. I brushed my teeth then used the toilet. When I was done I got out of the bathroom and went to my closet. I took off my boxers then put on jeans and a tank top. I put on a checkered shirt and slides. I go back to my room then spray on some cologne and put on my watch.

I get my phone and wallet then go downstairs. I hear the TV in the sitting room then go there. "Hey." I greet seeing Aunt Khanyi there. She turns around, looks at me then back at the TV. "Hello Sims." She says then I go sit next to her. "Where's everyone?" I ask. "Andiswa is in her room and Banele just went to the bathroom." She says then I nod my head. "I haven't spoken to you in a while... How have you been?" I ask turning to look at her. "I'm good Sims." She says without looking at me. "You know that's not how I meant that question." I say. "How did you mean it?" She asks. "I was- you know what. Nevermind. If you don't know then that's cool." I say then stand up.
"Just let everyone know I left please." I say then she nods her head. "Cool thanks." I say shaking my head. I left the sitting room and saw my dad coming in the direction of the sitting room. "Where are you going? Like you can never just stay in the house like other kids." He says then I look at him confused as hell. "I've been home." I say looking at the time on my watch. "Well you are scarce." He says. "Do you have this same talk with Andiswa when she's leaving or is it just me?" I ask. "Andiswa may be in her room most of the time, but she is also home most of the time." He says then I shake my head.
"Okay. I'm gonna go." I say. "What about the dinner you requested?" He asks. "It's literally still four. I'll prolly be home, latest by six." I say. "Okay, but I also need to speak to you about that thing." He says then I nod my head. "Did you speak to the elders?" I ask then he nods his head. "And her parents?" I ask and he nods his head. "Then propose so you can send the letter to her family." I say shrugging my shoulders. "The thing is when will I do it?" He asks. I look at the time then realise I've already passed that ten minutes I had put down.
"Okay, Tata I really have to go now. We'll continue talking about this when I'm back." I say. "Okay." He says then he goes to the sitting room and I get out of the house. I get in the car then make my way to Bayanda's place. I get there ten minutes late then knock on the door. The door opened a minute later and she got inside the house then I let myself in. "How are you?" I ask as we walk to the living room. "I'm good." She says then takes her seat. I sit down next to her. "Whatsup?" I ask looking at her.
