Hate Me

I woke up and just looked at the roof and sighed. The first thing that came to my mind was Bayanda. I mean, for as long as I can remember, I've never been rejected, and even if I were to be rejected, I wouldn't really care cause I don't need that person, or they don't impact my life in any way. But Bayanda, she's a person that I need in my life. She's easy to talk to and she is anyways the only person I enjoy speaking to, besides the only person I do wanna speak to.

But I'm not about to drown in my sorrows and all that sloppy shit. I get out of bed and go to my bathroom. I was brushing my teeth when I heard a knock on my door. I went to open the door and Aunt Khanyi was there. Oh yeah, she's back to Aunt Khanyi. "How may I help you?" I ask. "Your father is calling you." She says then I arch my eyebrows. "So he sent you?" I ask. "No, he's currently busy in his study room so I volunteered." She says then I nod my head. "If that's what you wanna go with, then sure." I say going to the bathroom then spit out the toothpaste in the sink.

I finish up in the bathroom then go back to my room. She was sitting on my couch then I looked at her questionably. "There's more?" I ask going to make my bed. "Okay, so you're back to being cold?" She asks then I look back at her. "I'm never cold, maybe lukewarm, but not cold." I say. "Really Sims?" She says then I shrug my shoulders. "You literally always find a way to make me hate that I like you." She says standing up. "That's crazy." I say with a chuckle. I hear her click her tongue then leave.

I can be an asshole when I don't care anymore, even I know this. She's about to find out though. I mean she decided to like a nonchalant person who is not even close to her level, I don't wanna say of maturity- but mentally, I'm not where she is. Or maybe I am, cause I did tell Bayanda I need stability- that just means I don't want it with her. I mean, I can communicate and love a person and treat them well, but that's only if I'm seriously simping for you.

I finish making my bed then go to my closet. I put on grey sweats and leave my tank top on. I get my phone and get out of my room. I go to my dad's study. I knock then come in. "Aunt Khanyi said you're calling me?" I say when I get inside. "Yes, where is my ring?" He asks then I laugh. "Lemme go fetch it." I say then go back to my room. I go to the closet and find it where I hid it.

"Thank you." He says when I put it on his table. "Also, even if you propose tonight, you have my blessing." I say then he quickly turns and looks at me. "What changed?" He asks. I sigh thinking of a lie, cause I obviously can't tell him the truth. "I can see that she makes you happy. I can't stand in the way of that." I say then he stands up and hugs me. I hug back laughing. "But-" I say then he pulls away. "There's always a but with you." He says then I nod my head. "This is still not her house." I say then he sits down.

"You're telling me I need to go house hunting now?" He asks then I laugh. "Isn't this something you thought of before wanting to propose?" I ask. "I just wanted to marry her honestly." He says. "Well then, you better start house hunting." I say patting his shoulder. "When was the last time you went to mama's grave?" I ask then he sits back and looks up. "That's something I've also been postponing. It's been about nine months." He says. "Let's go today. Also just to clean it up." I say then he nods his head. "After breakfast." He says then I agree with him.

I get out of his study as he starts working. I go downstairs and see Aunt Khanyi in the kitchen making breakfast. I sit down on my seat at the table then open WhatsApp. I answered some messages I received when I disappeared and ignored others. She brought placemats and put them on the table. And the whole time, we were both ignoring each other. My phone started ringing and I saw it's Bayanda.

-Ey, wassup?

-Hey, how are you?

-Well now that I'm hearing your voice, I don't know, maybe my day just got better.
