SIMS' POV

I wake up to an empty bed then I sigh. I stretch then sit up. I look at the clock on the wall and see the time is ten. Yah, yesterday was really draining. I get out of bed and go to the bathroom to brush my teeth and do my business. I then go back to the room and go get a tank top in the closet. I go back to the room and get my notes from my study desk and go sit on the bed.

A few minutes later the door opened and Khanyi appeared behind it holding a tray. "Good morning." She says with a smile on her face. "Morning." I say. She comes to my side and gives me the tray. She made a farmhouse breakfast and muesli. "Is this all mine?" I ask looking at all this food. "No. The muesli is mine." She says then I let out a breath of relief. "How did you sleep?" She asks. I put my notes down and give her my attention. "Well, I slept." I say nodding my head. "I can tell you still have doubts." She says then I shake my head.

"Nah. I decided to just let things happen. Because if I question it, I won't have peace. And I mean, we all know the reason I came here." I say then she nods her head. "How did you sleep?" I ask. "I actually slept. After an entire week of sleepless nights, I managed to sleep." She says then I smile and nod my head. "Come this side." I say referring to her side of the bed. She goes and sits down next to me. I give her her bowl and spoon. We pray then dig in. "When are you going back home?" She asks. "Let's stay out here for about a month. An escape from reality can be good for us." I say then she looks at me and smiles. "It's like you read my mind." She says then I smile.

We were now sitting in the living room watching TV. "I missed this." She says. "What's that?" I ask. "Being around you." She says then I laugh. "Yah, cause you are trying to act smart with me." She says then I laugh. "I wasn't gonna say anything." I say shrugging my shoulders. "Of course you weren't." She says. Cause I mean, her and I would barely be in a room alone together and just watch a series. That happened once and it's cause she was fighting with my dad.

"Actually, I never asked. How did you know I was here?" I ask then she looks at me. "Well, I got your father to tell me." She says then I squint my eyes. She explains how the whole conversation went then I laugh. "Nah, you obsessed with me." I say then she pushes me. Her phone rang then I looked at it. I saw it was my father then she stood up. "Let me take this." She says then I nod my head. She leaves the room and goes outside. I let out a sigh and shake my head. I honestly feel as though this will never work.

I mean, I can't be disowned by my father for a woman. I need to get over this little crush I have, fast. I mean, in the end of all this, I still want to end up with Bayanda, my mind might not want to admit this, but for some reason, it's only coming to me now, that maybe it's not her I like, maybe it's the thrill of it. Besides, even if I was evil, which I'm not or hated the man, which I don't, I can't do that to my father. I mean he loves her, and a part of me is starting to feel that this thing of mine and hers was more of a honeymoon phase.

She comes back and sits next to me. "What did you tell him?" I ask then look at her. "I'm in Durban for a business trip." She says then I chuckle and shake my head. "So your business trip is a month long?" I ask running my hand over my face. "It won't be that difficult to explain really." She says then I nod my head. "Do you suggest we be honest with him?" She asks then immediately shake my head. "Definitely not that." I say then I feel her look at me, then I look at her questionably. "What?" I ask. "Are you having doubts again?" She asks then then I bite my lip and smile. At this point I ain't doubting shit. Imma enjoy this month. Have sex and shit, then go back home and pursue Bayanda. "We good." I say putting my hand on her thigh.

"Mmhhmmhh." She hums looking at me skeptically. I nod my head at her then she just sighs.
