Chapter 6

Y/n POV

My team and I were in the cafeteria after having a lecture from Professor Port which was just him telling an extremely long and boring story. We ate at one of the tables near the back as not to draw attention to ourselves. I had my hood back up and Edward had a whole bottle of rum.

Ezio: Where do you even get this shit from? WE PATTED YOU DOWN BEFORE WE LEFT THE DORM!

Edward: Don't ask questions, Ezio!

Ezio: Imma ask! WHERE!?

Edward: DON'T ASK QUESTIONS!

Y/n: *whisper* Where the fuck does he get the rum from?

Connor: *whisper* Your guess is as good as mine and I'm his damn brother.

Yang: Hey guys!

Y/n: *whisper* Fuck.

We all turn to face team RWBY and JNPR who decide to sit with us. I keep my hood over my face to keep my identity a secret from Ruby and Yang.

Weiss: Why does Edward have alcohol?

Ezio: THAT'S WHAT I'M TRYING TO FIGURE OUT! WE LITERALLY PATTED HIM DOWN BEFORE WE LEFT FOR CLASSES!

Edward: DON'T ASK QUESTIONS!

Connor: Edward just has it. No matter where he is or where he goes it's always with him.

Ren: Is the entire team like this?

Altaïr: Think of me like the dad of the group, Animus as the one you don't get on the wrong side of, Connor as our Blake.

Blake & Connor: Hey!

Altaïr: Ezio is... Ezio, and Edward is the alcoholic youngest child who's the most hyperactive.

Yang: So Edward is just Nora if she started drinking?

Altaïr: Pretty much.

Ruby: I hope you don't mind us asking; How did Animus become a mute?

Ezio: Once an old bully of his slit his throat with a knife. He lived but it fucked his vocal cords. What happened to the bully? Well, they're still out there just waiting to ruin another life.

I feel someone grip my hood so I spin around and take out Ebony and Ivory and aim them at the person who turned out to be Yang.

Connor: Yang, what the hell do you think you're doing!?

Yang: What? Can't a girl be curious?

Pyrrha: Animus, just put the guns down.

Suddenly someone runs behind me and rips my hood down so I point my pistol at the person who turned out to be Ruby. I had Ivory pointed at Yang and Ebony pointed at Ruby and I could see they were both speechless.

Y/n: What's wrong? Lost for words? I'm hurt.

Ruby: B-big brother?

Y/n: I AM NOT YOUR BROTHER! Six years ago I ran from you and it was the best fucking day of my life.

Yang: But why?! Why did you leave us?!

Y/n: Yang, Yang, Yang. Always claimed to be the smart one but you only solve problems with brute force.

I roll up my sleeve revealing multiple bullet scars and burn marks. I roll up the second sleeve revealing slash marks and more burns. I roll them both back down and hold my pistols back at their heads.

Y/n: Burn marks from Yang's gauntlets, bullet scars from Ruby's damn scythe. The years of abuse and neglect you and your parents put me through.

Blake: Yang, is this true?

Yang: I...

Y/n: Don't want to ruin your reputation in your team? Pathetic.

Ruby: It wasn't our fault!

Y/n: Not your fault?! Who filled my arms with lead everyday?! Who beat me until my bones cracked?! WHO DENIED ME A FAMILY?!

Ruby was on the verge of tears as was Yang. The entire cafeteria was watching us in suspense but I didn't care and my team never did anything to interfere.

Y/n: I was NEVER your brother. You, Yang, Tai and Summer made that more than clear. The only family I have are those five, Qrow and Raven.

I look at the both of them who were absolutely heartbroken. I turn back to my team and motion for us to leave. I put Ebony and Ivory away before walking out of the cafeteria with my team.

Y/n: You five go back to the dorms. I'm going to get some air.

They all nod and walk away while I walk somewhere else. I walk to the edge of the cliff and stand on the edge just starring at the city of Vale. I sigh before hearing a raven call from behind me so I look and see a Raven transform into my mother.

Raven: Hey, sweetheart.

Y/n: Hey, mum.

Raven: What's wrong?

Y/n: Nothing.

Raven: Y/n, your fist is on fire. You can tell me what it is.

I look down at my fist and see it really is on fire so I shake my hand to put out the flame.

Y/n: *sigh* Ruby and Yang found out. They know I'm still alive.

Raven: Damnit. What did you do?

Y/n: Just lectured them to the verge of tears.

Raven: That's my boy.

She says before messing with my hair. I hear footsteps behind us so I quickly draw Ebony and Ivory at the people who were behind us which turned out to be JNPR. Weiss and Blake. I lower my pistols and look at them.

Weiss: What was that all back there?

Raven: Y/n, you stay here, I'll explain it to them.

I nod before Raven walks to the others while I continue to stare into the distance of Vale while the sun begins to set. I heard Raven explain my past to them obviously leaving out the Assassins part. I turn back to them and they were all speechless so I just raise my arms before letting them fall back to my sides.

Y/n: They're just lucky I didn't fill them with lead where they stood.

Weiss: Lead? Why do you use lead?

Y/n: Penetrates aura really easily. That's why Ruby used it on me.

Pyrrha: You've been through so much...

Y/n: Yes. But I'm digging myself a grave I know I can't get out of. You could say I'm a dead man walking.

I began walking away from them back to the dorm but I heard them talking about me but I brushed it off and continued walking. It's not like shit could get any worse for me.
