We last read Chapter 1, in which Moody a.k.a. Specter, T.J., and Logan launch an attack on an unauthorized ship docked at the Rusted Citadel Harbor which houses Captain Brownrig—the Pirate King—and his forces, who have been a longtime nuisance to the Rusted Citadel ever since they started making regular attempts to plunder it during its recovery from the Iron Kingpin's tyranny. Their mission is a success, with all of Brownrig's subordinates and combatants being incapacitated and taken in.....but Specter shows a rather unnerving episode of violence when she brutally punches several of them, including Brownrig himself, to death, even causing her costume's gloves to become stained with blood. Logan, being blind, can't see the disaster, but T.J. can, and the latter is thoroughly horrified by it.

Breathing very heavily, Specter declares the mission a success, and the three of them---and their mole---leave the ship to be eventually cleaned out by King Ryker and the newly-reformed Steelguard Troopers, who previously served the Iron Kingpin.

This time, we watch as Moody a.k.a. Specter, T.J., and Logan report their mission to King Ryker, Ryker has a talk with Specter about her recent violent outbursts, and Specter in turn chats with T.J. about the status of the Rusted Citadel's education system.....

-Obsidian Sanctum, Rusted Citadel, Asia-

The formidable multi-floor bastion that was the Obsidian Sanctum formerly served as the base of operations for the tyrannical Iron Kingpin and his equally corrupt son, Craig. From this fortress, the duo ruled the city with an unbreakable fist, erroneously enforcing the rights of criminals while maintaining a strong divide between the wealthy and the middle and lower classes. Under their regime, the poor were practically reduced to nothing, acting as mere targets for the shady and unscrupulous folk of the region.....while the rich recklessly indulged themselves on pursuits such as liquor and gambling.

However, after Moody a.k.a. Specter had recruited four of the eight Paragons---Hailey a.k.a. The Viper, Dr. Duncan Drevis, The Crawler, and Monica Drevis a.k.a. Voltara---to join her rebellion, the wealth district was brutally attacked by a hectic stampede of stallions orchestrated by Duncan, resulting in multiple casualties amongst the high class while reducing nearly every building to rubble.

Gambling tables were overturned, with poker chips and bills flying all over the place. Entire shelves of priceless wine and drinks were flung in every direction like toys. Irreplaceable cars were squashed and structures were smashed to pieces, as were the opulently-decorated windows that adorned practically every casino. And, before the entire attack had even started, Duncan had given an ominous speech about how the high-class had sat back and taken all the joy for themselves while the poor were forced to fight for the scraps.

The carnage, of course, was shortly followed by the official dethroning---and death---of the Iron Kingpin and his son Craig, as well as the Iron Kingpin's brother Ryker taking the position from him instead. Now, Ryker was the new king of the Rusted Citadel, and a much more benevolent one, too. One of his first orders was to commission the rebuilding of the wrecked wealth district and merge it with what was formerly the poor district, creating a new singular community where everyone had equal opportunities, rights, and the ability to access resources.

The Obsidian Sanctum still stood, though, and Ryker wasted no time moving into it following his brother and nephew's demise. Accompanying him were his court, consisting of the sharpshooting T.J. and the blind sniper Logan---the two people whom Specter had teamed up with to take down Captain Brownrig and the pirates---as well as his new butler Sylvester, the teleportation scientist Ollie, and the medical specialist Doc, who continued to provide advising to his new king even from his confinement at the distant Ember Holding Cells. And, of course, there was Moody a.k.a. Specter, the leader of the rebellion group that overthrew the Iron Kingpin.
