We last read Chapter 46, in which Craig—now rechristened as the "Mainframe"—greets Moody a.k.a. Specter and explains his backup plan following his father's defeat at the hands of Specter and her former rebel allies. Though Specter spends a good amount of time tearing him and his "backup plan" apart from multiple angles, the sequence eventually concluded with the Mainframe activating his "upgrades", causing him to grow immensely built arms and legs made of strong and durable bright green material, enabling him to walk around and grasp items, while also elevating a small laser coil from the top of his "head".
Then, he grows to an absolutely monstrous size as a result of the upgrades, ultimately destroying the entirety of the Imperator's Armory—since even it wasn't enough to contain him—before proceeding to send the angry mob of the Rusted Citadel's citizens running as he begins his rampage. For once, neither Specter nor King Ryker have any plans for how to deal with the Mainframe, and are forced to order the team to start running. Meanwhile, the Mainframe picks up his two top loyalists—Imperator Barrows and the still-unconscious Rogue—and allows both of them to ride on his side screens as he resumes his horrific rampage.
This time, the heroes try to take down the Mainframe for good and preserve the Citadel's freedom, but run into a bit of a spiritual snag.....

Doc reached into his handheld bag and pulled out a pair of bolt cutters, which he immediately used to break apart Specter's handcuffs; in addition, T.J. made sure to always hold onto Logan no matter where the former went, in an attempt to keep his fellow court member—who happened to be blind—safe even in such a hazardous and hectic environment.
Though Specter, King Ryker, and the rest of the court were currently running away from the Mainframe, Imperator Barrows, and Rogue—just as the rest of the Citadel's citizens were doing—T.J., of all people, managed to come up with a plan.
"Hold on!" he exclaimed as he snapped his fingers. "I have an idea!"
He lightly handed Logan over to Sylvester, asking him to keep a close eye on him, to which the loyal butler quickly agreed.
"Just keep running! And if you can, have someone lure them to the central courtyard! I'll meet him there!" T.J. called out. Then, he split off from the others, instead running back towards the Obsidian Sanctum. On top of that, Dashie also saw where he was headed, and opted to follow behind him.

As the Mainframe continued rampaging and gunning innocent civilians down with lasers from his small head coil, Imperator Barrows kept lightly shaking his sidekick Rogue, desperately trying to wake her up so she, too, could witness the Shattered Circle's "victory" firsthand. As expected, Rogue eventually jerked upward after a few moments.
"Whew! Crikey.....I must've dozed off there!" Rogue exclaimed as she shook her head to get rid of the last remnants of dizziness and fatigue. "What's going on....."
She looked both directly below and ahead of her, and bore firsthand witness to the carnage and destruction that the Mainframe was currently wreaking on the Rusted Citadel.....and she couldn't have been more pleased.
"Bloody hell.....we actually did it....." she mused quietly, before spontaneously getting louder. "WE ACTUALLY DID IT, SIRE!"
She ecstatically grabbed Imperator Barrows by the shoulders and shook him severely to the point where his entire body was practically leaving afterimages.....but the Imperator himself was far from disturbed.
