I focused all of my attention to Kylee, she sighed, "Nancy Walker, as you may have saw...is fake. She's just like Cherry Valance, but worse," "Worse? Nobody is worse than Cherry," "Well, Nancy wants everything she can't have," "What do you mean?" "Well, she wants...Steve." I froze, "SHE WHAT?!?" "After Sodapop and Nancy got together, he brought her over here to meet us..."

6:00 pm

Dally and I made our way to the Curtis's, apparently Sodapop had a surprise for us. We opened the door and were met with the boys, Two-Bit smiled, "There you guys are!! Do y'all know what Sodapop's surprise is??" Dally ran his hands through his hair, "No clue, he seems pretty excited about it though." Suddenly, the front door opened and Sodapop came inside with a girl following close behind. Two-Bit cocked his head to the side, "Soda? Who's the girl?" Sodapop put his arm around her and smiled, "This is Nancy, me and her are going out." We all looked at him shocked, Steve spoke, "So Nancy, where ya from?" "Indiana, my dad got a promotion," "That's cool." She did a fake smile at me, "You must be Stephanie, Sodapop's sister," "Uhm actually no, Stephanie is in California at Berkeley," "Oh! Then who are you?" "Kylee, I'm Stephanie's best friend," "Interesting, so you just hang around at her brother's place?" "Well, I'm dating her brother's friend." Dally looked at her, "I'm Kylee's boyfriend," "You must be the infamous Dallas Winston," "That's right, how'd you know?" "I could just tell." She touched his arm in a friendly way, but in a way that I found too friendly.

7:00 pm

We ate dinner, listening to Sodapop and Nancy talk about each other...it was pure torture. Suddenly, Two-Bit accidentally knocked his glass of milk over sending it across the table, all over Steve. Nancy was sitting in between Sodapop and Steve, she grabbed a napkin, "Here, let me help you Steve." She dabbed at the milk that was all over Steve, I watched as she joyfully touched him. I cleared my throat, "Ahem, you know...he's 17, he can wipe himself off," she glared at me, "Well, I was just trying to help," "I don't think his girlfriend would like that." She froze, "Girlfriend?" Sodapop smiled, "Yeah! My older sister is dating him." Nancy innocently spoke, "Well, I don't see her anywheres."

<present day>

I looked at Kylee appalled, "That dirty little bit-." I was interrupted when there was a knock at my bedroom door, I sighed, "Come in!." Sodapop opened the door and smiled, "It's good to have you back Steph, thank you for being supportive of Nancy...she's the best thing that's happened to me in a long time," "I'm happy for you Soda, I'm glad she makes you happy," "Thanks Steph! Make sure to get some rest, today was an overwhelming day," "Yup...right," "Goodnight," "Night." As soon as he shut the door, I finished was I was saying, "That dirty little bitch! She's trying to get with Steve?!?? Who does she think she is?" Kylee angrily spoke "She thinks she's entitled to get everything and everyone she wants, it's bullshit." I smacked my hand against my head, "I'm only here for a week, after I leave...she can just take Steve away from me," "Steph, Steve is loyal...he would never get with Nancy," "She's so much prettier than me, Steve could easily just trade me out for her," "He's not going to do that, he loves you Stephanie...the whole time you were gone, he talked about you nonstop, he missed you so much," "I missed him too, but what am I supposed to do? Like I can't talk to him about it," "Let's just keep an eye out, and if we see her make an attempt..we will be right there to put an end to it."

monday november 22nd, 1965
9:00 am

Stephanie being home brought up my mood 100%, when me and her first started dating...it was rough, but now it's just better between us. I walked into the Curtis house and was immediately met with Nancy, she smiled, "Hey Stevie!!" "Nancy? What are you doing here?" "Just waiting for Sodapop," "You do know he has work today, right?" "What? He took today off so that me and him could hang out," "No, I took today off so that I could go out with Stephanie," "Oh, well...I will just get going than-," "It's fine, I will go to work and cover for Sodapop," "Thanks Steve that means a lot." I sighed and left the Curtis house, something didn't seem right.

9:30 am

I woke up to the sound of laughing and chattering, that meant the boys were downstairs. Kylee and I tiredly made our way down the stairs and were enlightened by the sight of the boys, she went over to Dally and I scanned the room, realizing Steve wasn't here. I sadly spoke, "Where's Steve? Me and him were supposed to hang out today," Two-Bit looked up from the piece of chocolate cake he was eating, "Steve's at work Steph," "What!? That's impossible! Steve took today off," "Actually, Sodapop did...he's out with Nancy." I made eye contact with Kylee, she gave me "that" look...we both knew something was up. I rushed upstairs and quickly got dressed, I went back downstairs and went to open the front door when Darry's voice stopped me, "Steph! Where ya off too already?? I thought-," "Hold that thought Darry, I got something I gotta take care of."

9:45 pm

I opened the door to the DX station and was met with Steve standing at the front counter, he sadly looked at me, "Steph, I'm so sorry," "You said you took the day off," "I did!...or at least I thought I did, apparently Sodapop had today off," "I don't believe it, do you have like a sheet that you write on when you want to request a day off?" "Uh, actually yeah." Steve pulled out the paper and I closely looked at it, next to his name on this exact date, I could see the erased pencil that read "Day off." Next to Sodapop's name I could still see the erased pencil mark that read "Working" which now read "Day off." I glared, "Steve, someone fucked with this," "What?." I handed it to him and explained that someone had switched it, he sighed, "Maybe it was my boss," "Oh it wasn't your boss, I know exactly who did it, Nancy Fucking Walker."
