I anxiously knocked on Sodapop's bedroom door, it swung open. He annoyingly looked at me, "Hey," "Sodapop, I'm sorry." His face lightened, "Your saying sorry? You never say sorry," "Yeah, I know, but I am. I shouldn't have just judged Nancy like that, I'm sorry I did. She makes you happy and all I want is for you to be happy." He sighed, "Wow, Steph...that means a lot. I'm sorry you weren't able to hangout with Steve today," "It's fine!! I was upset and I wanted to pin it all on someone else, and I'm sorry I did," "It's okay, I'm just happy you're home." He pulled me in for a hug, after a few seconds we pulled away from one another. He softly spoke, "I'm gonna head to bed, goodnight Steph," "Night Soda." Once he closed the door, I dashed downstairs to the phone. I dialed Kylee's number and anxiously waited for her to answer, after what seemed like forever, she finally did. "Hello?" "Kylee," "Steph?" "I have a plan," "A plan? For what? We did not talk about this," "Look, just come over," "It's late and I'm tired," "Bullshit, it's only 9," "Yeah? And I'm tired," "Kylee, please just come over," "Ugh! Fine, I will be over in 15."

I opened the door to the Curtis residence and was immediately met with Stephanie, she glared, "It's 9:20," "So?" "So you're 5 minutes late." I rolled my eyes, "What is this plan-," "Shhh! We will talk about it in my room." She pulled me upstairs to her room, I annoyingly spoke, "Can you tell me-." I was interrupted when there was a knock at the door, she opened it and allowed Ponyboy and Johnny inside. I suspiciously spoke, "Wait! Are they in on this plan you have?" She spoke, "Well, I haven't explained it to them yet either." Ponyboy messed with his hair, "Look Steph, can you just explain it quickly? I'm missing precious reading time!" She scoffed, "First of all, ew! Second of all, you have like the rest of your life to read. So please just listen, we all think that Nancy is...a self conceived bitch. I have reason to believe she's trying to steal my boyfriend, so...we're gonna find out if that's actually true." Johnny softly spoke, "How are we gonna do that?" "Using Cherry Valance." I groaned, "No way Stephanie," "Yes way! I think I could get her to be fake friends with Nancy and get all the secrets and details," "And how are you gonna do that?" "Cherry doesn't like when anyone else is better than her, if we convince her that Nancy is better than her, we can get her to be fake friends with Nancy, learn all her secrets, and figure out if Nancy is trying to steal Steve." Ponyboy thought, "What's in it for Cherry? She's not gonna do it unless you offer her something," "Shit, you're right." I spoke, "Look, this whole thing is crazy Steph," "It's the only way! I'm only here for a week and I'm not letting her take Steve away from me." I looked at her sympathetically, "Fine, Fine! I will help you convince Cherry to be fake friends with Nancy so that she can get all of Nancy's secrets and find out if Nancy is after Steve." Stephanie wrapped her arms around me, "Thank you."

10:00 am

The plan, my plan...wasn't going to be easy to pull off. Sherri Valance is a very very difficult person, and it doesn't help that me and her are basic immortal enemies...but I at least have to make an attempt to get her on my side. I quickly got dressed and made my way downstairs, when I got into the kitchen...I was met with Steve. He smiled at me, "Hey beautiful!" "Oh..hey Steve," "You ready to go?" "To go where exactly?" "Steph, we had plans today remember? I took today off." How could I have forgotten?!? Me and him discussed all of this last night, I softly spoke, "Can we raincheck our plans until this afternoon?" "I mean I guess, but why?" "I, uh...I have plans with Kylee," "Oh, okay," "I promise we will hangout later," "Alright." Finally, Kylee walked into the kitchen, swirling her keys around her finger, "Ready to go Steph?" "Yeah, I will be right there." I quickly pressed my lips against Steve's, I went to walk out of the kitchen when my eldest brother spoke, "Steph," "Ugh, what?" "You've barely spent anytime with your brothers," "Darry, I have a few other days. I promise we will catch up," "Steph-," "I promise!!."

10:25 am

Kylee pulled up to the Valance residence, she sighed, "Are you sure you wanna do this?" "Positive." We got out of her car and walked up to the front door, I rang the doorbell. The door opened revealing Mrs. Valance, she smiled, "Hello! How can I help you?" "Is Cherry-I mean Sherri home by any chance?" "Yes, she is!." She hollered up their elegant stairs to Cherry and walked off, after a few seconds or so Cherry came to the door. She glared, "What are you two doing here?" "Could we maybe, talk?" "About what?" "Something important." She sighed, "Fine, but make it quick." She allowed Kylee and I inside, we followed her to her living room where we all sat down. Cherry scoffed, "So...what's this about?" Kylee looked at me and then at Cherry, "Nancy Walker," "Who?" "Nancy Walker, she moved here in June," "Okay? I don't care," "Well you need to care, she thinks she's better than everyone in this town...including you." Cherry perked up, "She what?!? Nobody is better than me!" Kylee agreed, "Right! So Steph and I were thinking...maybe you could be fake friends with her," "Fake friends?! Why? What's in it for you?" "Look, Nancy is dating Sodapop...and she's been going after Steve Randle, Stephanie's boyfriend," "Okay?" "Nancy, thinks she's like on top of the world...she even said she's the prettiest soc in all of town, and she said she's gonna start rumors about you." Cherry scoffed, "So you're saying, that I should be fake friends with her..and do what?" "Ruin her life! Get her secrets, and find out if Nancy likes Steve," "What's in it for me?." Stephanie spoke, "You'll get to be a mean high school girl again." Cherry sighed, "Fine, I will do this..on one condition, don't boss me around."
