What was I thinking? Getting myself involved in one of Stephanie Curtis's antics, it wasn't a very good idea, but I was bored and if she was right about this Nancy Walker girl...then I needed to take her down. Kylee and Stephanie directed me to the DX station, because apparently whenever Sodapop is working, Nancy stays down there all day with him. I pulled up to the gas station, leaving Stephanie and Kylee in the car. I anxiously walked inside, Sodapop was at the front counter...Nancy wasn't to be seen. He smiled at me, "Cherry?! It's been awhile," "Yeah, it has. How are you Sodapop?" "I'm alright, how are you?! Steph told me you got into Sarah Lawrence," "I did..it's nice there, just complicated." He laughed, Suddenly I saw her, she came out from the back room. She was impeccable, she had blonde hair, beautiful jewelry, and a designer outfit on. She smiled, "I don't think we've met! I'm Nancy Walker," "Yeah, I know. I've heard a lot about you," "Oh have you now?" "Yeah, my parents were telling me about your parents joining the country club," "Oh! How lovely." Sodapop wrapped his arm around her waist, "Nancy, I'd like you to meet Sherri Valance. She graduated with Stephanie." She looked at me, "Wait a second, your nickname is Cherry right?!" "Yeah because-" "Because of your hair!! My parents were telling me about you, apparently our parents tickled each other's fancies and went out a few times. Anyways, why haven't you been in Tulsa?" "I was away at college," "Oh which one?" "Sarah Lawrence," "Well, it's not Harvard or Yale." I had to bite my tongue from cursing her out, I smiled, "Well, maybe we could hang out sometime and get to know one another...I'm only here for this week," "That sounds lovely, I know there's an event at the country club tonight...I assume your parents are going?" "Yeah, so I'll see you there!??!" "Definitely! Bye Cherry," "Bye Nancy." I walked out of the gas station and back to my car, Stephanie quickly spoke from the passenger seat, "How did it go? What did she say? Did she know-," "God! Not so fast, one question at a time.  She's exactly how you described her, she was acting like basic piece of plastic," "What did she say?" "She said she'd heard of me before, because our parents have gone out a few times. Anyways, there is this event tonight at the country club and I told her I would see her there." Kylee smiled from the back seat, "That's perfect! You can get close to her and bam! You can trick her into telling-." I quickly interrupted her, "Woah! Slow down, we need to take this one day at a time or else this won't work," Stephanie rolled her eyes, "We don't have that long Cherry, I leave in 6 days," "Okay? So do I, I will get everything you want out of her okay? Just chill."

2:40 pm

I sat in the Curtis's living room bored as ever, Two-Bit and Johnny were cackling at the tv. Ponyboy was sitting next to me, he looked at me, "What's wrong?" "Steph said that she would be back this afternoon so that me and her could hang out," "I'm sure she's on her way now," "I hope so." Instantly the front door opened, Dally came in, "Y'all seen Kylee?" I sadly spoke, "She's with Steph, apparently they had plans today," "What?! Kylee and I had plans today," "So did me and Steph." Dally looked at Ponyboy, "Where the hell is your sister?" He nervously spoke, "I don't know Dal...really," "Your a liar." Dally went for the door, "Let's go Steve," "Where we going?" "To find our girls." He opened the door and made his way outside, I followed in pursuit, "Dally, let's just wait for them to get back," "Hell no! I know Kylee and Steph, they're probably up to no good," "But Dally-," "No buts about it Steve, now let's go!."

3:00 pm

Kylee and I sat in a booth across from Cherry at the Dingo, we were all slurping down on some milkshakes. Cherry sighed, "So why do you think Nancy thinks she's like...the shit?" Kylee shrugged, "She's probably delusional, and thick headed. She has no sense of anything." I groaned, "I mean seeing her look at Steve the way she does, just makes me sick," Cherry confusedly spoke, "I mean...if she knows that Steve has a girlfriend, why on earth would she flirt with him?" "I don't know, she thinks she's better than everyone else." We were all stunned to silence when two very familiar boys walked up to our table, Dallas and Steven. Dally spoke in an annoyed tone, "Well well well, what the hell is this?." Kylee quickly spoke, "Dally!? What the hell are you doing here?" He glared, "We had plans today Ky," "Plans? I don't-Oh...right, I'm sorry." I could barely look at Steve, he sighed, "Steph, you said we would hangout this afternoon," "I know I did, but something came up." The two boys shared a glance at Cherry, Dally gruffly spoke, "What the hell are y'all doing?!? Hanging out with her?" Cherry glared, "Wow! It's nice to see you too Dallas." I quickly spoke, "Kylee and I were just catching up with Cherry, it's been awhile," Steve confusedly spoke, "I thought y'all didn't get along...like whatsoever." Cherry fake smiled, "Well, Stephanie and I are just trying to be civil with one another and we wanted to.." I quickly spoke, "To..talk about college! You know she's going to Sarah Lawrence, and I'm going to Berkeley...we just wanted to chat about our experiences." The boys both looked at each other and then back at us, Cherry sighed, "Well, it was nice seeing you both...I hope to see you again before I head back to school." Steve tried to speak, "But-," Cherry smiled, "Don't you worry, Stephanie and Kylee will be back home later...Byeee!!." She pushed them out of the restaurant door, and sat back down. Kylee spoke relived, "That was close," I agreed, "Yeah, it was. How did they even know that we were here?" "It's a small town," "Yeah, that's true, we can just hang with them tonight." Cherry scoffed, "Oh hell no, you and Kylee need to be at the country club tonight," "What?! Why?" "Because!! What if I choke? I need you two there," "Cherry, Nancy will see us," "Not if you keep distance, please! I'm literally doing you a favor Stephanie." I groaned, "Fine! I will be there, Kylee?." Kylee thought about it and sighed, "I will be there too."
