The waitress placed a cup of cinnamon latte for Dheer and a slice of golden hugging Creamy filling cheesecake with raspberries on top
A smile illuminated her face and then she left the place
Dheer steered the foam in the Latte as he took a sip of it
I had a bite of my cheesecake and damn! It was different they baked it so we'll that the filling inside it melted into my mouth
No wonder the cakes we're so expensive, they we're so worth it
Dheer's pov
Cauniq took a look of the café, she did not ask or tell me anything
I wanted to know more about her but it seemed like she did not entertain long conversations, I came straight to the topic so that we could at least talk together rather than sitting together as complete strangers
"How is the food?" I asked her as I kept the cup of latte below my lips
"It's so good! How do you know his place?"
"Ehh I just came here with my friends a long back ago"
She sipped the glass of water and continued, "umm people don't know about this... So I really don't know if it's safe uncovering my past around you"
"People? Do the people know we are here together?"
"No" replied Cauniq within a second while nodding her head sideways slowly
"If you really did not trust me in the first place, then why did you trust me when I called you out on a date?"
"Date?" Her eyes widened as she licked off the raspberry jam below her lips
"Yes date what we're you thinking, another business meet that too... Between us?"
"Oh no, of course not I'm sorry I didn't mean it that way it's just that, if you'd be alright listening to me"
"Go ahead I'm now your listener"
I rested my back onto the chair all ready as she spills the tea
It took a while for her to recall at the same time she looked blank I don't know how to describe her but I can say, she's not like the other girls her cuteness is something I'm obessed with
Her gummy smile makes it even more perfect
"If you insist" Cauniq said in a calm and continued tone as if her talk is going to take a long time to limit
*7 years ago*
It was my first time here, in Bangalore it's hard to leave behind my old house, friends and school back in Tamilnadu
I was not excited although I was supposed to be, my father got a promotion from his office that led us here
The house in Bangalore is bigger than the house we used to live in, vibrant houses line the sidewalk the vibrant flower garden and plants each house had looked so beautiful and fresh.
The neighborhood was peaceful sunlight dancing through the trees, the lawns were perfectly pruned and the huge Banyan trees made it even better
After all, I have to live my life off here.
Trucks lined up near our new house, my mother and father were busy arranging the boxes into our house
It's a new chapter of my life, and I know I could do it
I want inside the house that's soon gonna be my home
I helped my parents to keep the boxes in the house, I took the boxes that was stuffed with my belongings to my new room
I walked up the staircase that led to my room, I kept the heavy box down to open the door
"Dad!! You did not-!"
I was surprised
My new room was just perfect! It was the kind of bedroom I have always imagined of
My bed was so big almost 4 people can sleep in it, the bright pastel colour adored the room, a vintage vanity table of my own included a princess chair and a huge window that views the park behind my house and a bookshelf filled with all my fantasy novel
"Do you like it?"
"Dad! I love it!" I hugged my father as tight as I can with excitement
"Anything for you sweetheart! My father hugged me too his unconditional love towards me made it even more worthy living off here
Until and unless I have my family, there's nothing I can worry about
The presence of my father around me is the most comforting and incredible memories I will ever have in my life
My mother was around us, she was clearly happy watching the joyful moments with my father
"Our house warming ceremony is within a week, we have many things due, let's start the tasks around the house one by one understand?" said my mother
My father hummed, and got on to his work
I took the heavy boxes into my room and placed it aside opening them once at a time
There we're 4 boxes filled with my clothes and other two boxes filled with my essential stuff such as toothbrush, moisturizer, lotion, makeup items and etc
I thought of organising my closet first
I dragged those boxes near my new closet and began ripping off the tapes to get my clothes out so I could arrange them.
