Candy Hearts (Ranpoe)

Ranpo knocks on the door, waiting for his Poe's arrival. The door soon freaks open, revealing a nervous looking Poe. "Uhm.. Hello Ranpo, is there something you need?" His voice wavers slightly. "There is actually Poe! I wanna have a sleepover!" Ranpo stated excitedly. Poe looked shocked. "A sleepover?! Ranpo, I believe you're mistaken, we're enemies!"
"C'mon Poe!"
"No!"
"I'll try solve another one of your mystery novels if you say yes!~" Poe falls silent at Ranpo's words, before hesitantly nodding his head. "Fine Ranpo.."

Ranpo runs in, dragging a large bag with him. "What's in the bag Ranpo dear?" Poe asked. "Snacks, movies, blankets, sleeping bag, snacks and sweets!" Ranpo yelled. "Ranpo, you said snacks twice.."
"Yeah, cus there's a lot of them!" Poe just sighed at the response. "What do you want to do now then Ranpo dear?"
"We could... Watch a movie?"
"What genre?"
"Well, I have Fantasy, Mystery, Horror and Romance!"
"Perhaps mystery?"
"Ok Poe!"
Ranpo begins to play the movie, unpacking some of the snacks, some chips, popcorn, sweets, and most importantly of all, the Candy Hearts.

Ranpo and Poe sit down next time each other on the couch, curled up under the blanket. "It's so obvious!" Ranpo complained. "Please be quiet Ranpo dear.." Poe muttered. Ranpo just groaned and began eating his snacks. Eventually, he opens the box of Candy Hearts, carefully sliding one out of the box and placing it into Poe's hand. Poe, who was confused, picking up the candy and reading the words written on the back. 'I Love U ♡' was what it read.

"Ranpo dear, may I ask why you handed me this?"
"To read the message and to eat it, obviously!"
Poe just laughs nervously and eats the candy. Throughout the rest of the movie, he received more candy hearts, the messages ranging from "Sweet Like U ♡" to "Will you be mine? ♡" to "Love U ♡". Poe hid his crimson blush with the blanket, pretending to eat them but instead slip them into his pocket for later.

The movie eventually finishes, and Ranpo groans as he sits up. "Ugh.. What time is it.."
"7pm, why Ranpo dear?"
"I'm bored and the movies over! Can we make cookies? I wanna save my snacks for later!!" Ranpo asked. Poe just sighed and nodded, grabbing Ranpo's hand and leading him to the kitchen.

Once they got all of the ingredients, Poe began to make the dough while Ranpo snuck hand fulls of chocolate chips into his mouth. When the dough was finished, Ranpo licked the spoon clean and began to shape the cookies. The first was a normal circle, the next a star, all of them following a random pattern shape. The final one was a heart. "Poe! Can I decorate the heart one? I have an idea for it! Pleeeeaaaaaase??" Ranpo yelled, Poe just quietly sighing and nodding.

**Once the cookies were done**

Poe carefully slid the cookies out of the oven, placing them onto the counter top before getting put variations of icing, sprinkles and other toppings. Ranpo grabbed the heart cookie and some toppings before sneaking to an empty corner of the kitchen.
"Ranpo dear, what are you doing?"
"Stay away for now! It's a surprise!"
"If you say so."

After 15 minutes, the two had finished decorating and were ready to present their creations. Poe showed the one's he'd decorated, which were nicely decorated with sprinkles and icing. Then, it was Ranpo's turn to present. He carefully lifted up the plate and showed the cookie. It was broken down the middle, decorated in pink, red and white icing with sprinkles, and a small candy heart on the top. It read "Will you be mine? ♡". Poe blushed a bright red but slowly nodded, a soft smile spreading across his face.
"That actually worked? I thought you'd laugh at me for that."
"You were wrong Ranpo dear. I love it."

Ranpo smiled brightly as Poe leaned in and hugged him.
"Now, let's enjoy these cookies, ok?"
"Yeah!!" Ranpo yelled, handing Poe one half of the heart cookie before munching on his own.

The two lovers spent the rest of the night watching movies and eating snacks in each other's arms. Ranpo eventually fell asleep during a murder documentary, so Poe turned off the TV and carried Ranpo to bed. He layed him down before curling up beside him, pressing a small kiss to his forehead. "I love you Ranpo." He muttered, taking out one of the candy hearts from his pocket, that read "I Love U ♡". "And I know you love me too." Poe whispered, before sliding his arms back around Ranpo and falling asleep.
