Nobody POV:

Atsushi and Akutagawa.

The soft hearted one, holding out a hand for the person he cares for most, willing to help him until the light. And then the cold hearted one, who, despite wishing he could join the soft hearted boy, doesn't believe he belongs there.

They were opposites and enemies, a pair who disregarded the statement opposites attract.

Even after the PM and the ADA agreed on a truce, the two never got used to each other. Anytime they were partnered for a mission, a wave of complaints and yells would always follow.

And that was how everything stayed, until one mission.

Atsushi POV:

Me and Kyouka had been sent on a mission to catch an ability user that had been wreaking havoc across Yokohama.

Her name was Akiro Roka, and her ability was 'Thou Shalt Remember'. Akiro's ability meant if she came into contact with you, the only signs she had was if a glowing blue mark is left in the place she touched. Her ability causes people to hallucinate things like figures, places or objects that the person fears, and when they fall unconscious, they relive the worst of the memories they have. Many of her victims take their own lives not long after the effects begin.

The police had arrived and had handcuffed Akiro, who strangely still wore a smirk on her face. What was wrong with her?

As the officers drag her to the car, I felt my blood run cold as I felt a hand brush against my wrist. I stare down at my wrist, then at Akiro, and then back at my wrist. Left in place of where her fingers grazed my wrist was a small, glowing blue mark.

I pulled my black gloves over the mark, taking a deep breath to try appear as if nothing happened.

A few officers came up to me and thanked me for my help, but I couldn't focus as I replayed the memory of her hand hitting my wrist.

I was quickly thrown out of my trance when I felt a hand rest on my shoulder. I whipped my head to the side to be greeted with a confused Kyouka.

"Atsushi? Are you ok? You spaced out.."
"Huh? Oh, yeah! Don't worry Kyouka! I was just thinking about something, it's not important!"
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah! Don't worry about it! Let's just get back to the agency!"

I put on my usual smile and walked back to the agency, my mind drifting back to the information of Akiro's ability. I don't feel weird, and I haven't had any hallucinations... Maybe her power was deactivated when the officer's took her!

Yeah, that's probably what happened! I shook my head and glanced up, realizing I was stood in front of the agency building.

"Atsushi? Why did you stop?"
"Sorry, spaced out again!"

I let out a nervous laugh before walking into the building.

Nobody POV:

It was a few hours after the mission, Atsushi had been brought into the infirmary after the mission due to a few injuries he'd gotten during the mission.

"Yosano, I really am fine, it's just a few grazes!"

Atsushi didn't want Yosano to bandage his injuries, mainly because most of them were on his hands and arms, meaning he'd have to take his gloves of. Then Yosano would see the mark and tell everyone.
