Taehyung stared at Jia as she gave her speech standing on the podium. She looked assertive, gorgeous and knowledgeable. He couldn't take his eyes off the sight. Her words and tone were impactful, she was the epitome of an independent woman.
Could someone really be a whole package?
Her father smiled clicking her pictures, he was proud of her.
"Thank you!" she completed her speech as people clapped.
She was there for an International Mental health programme. She was awarded as the best therapist in Korea, she had invented an efficient way of dealing with her clients and her treatment was always impactful. She had written her research work and published it, earning popularity in the medical field.
"Beautiful!" Taehyung said behind her as he approached her. She looked at him and he knew he wanted to see her every day.
"Sorry?" she asked confused.
"You and your speech!" he replied, he hardly heard her speech, he was focused on hearing her voice instead.
"That's an honour!" she smiled and bowed.
"Can I capture you?" he asked with a sweet smile.
"Sorry?" she asked not getting him. He took out his phone and pointed at it."Sure!" she shrugged her shoulders, she was tired of the pictures being clicked by the media but she couldn't say no to him.
As he stood close to her and wrapped his arm around her waist, not touching her, clicking a picture, it just earned him her respect.
She smiled looking at him, usually people took advantage of such events and clicked pictures by putting her in an uncomfortable position, knowing she couldn't say anything but he did not.
"It is a pity I can't capture your voice. I loved listening to you earlier! Could you please give me your number?" he asked politely."I am not a creep, I could be your lover instead!"
She came out of her trance and looked away, it was the first time after a long time that someone had approached her and was flirting with her or maybe she had turned boring after her work life started. She was too busy building her career she would forget to go on dates set up by her friends.
People thought she was taken, considering her personality and beauty, so they never usually made a move, while she was dying to fall in love now. She had a good career now so she wanted to fill in a gap of a partner in her life.
"Lover? That's too early!" she chuckled.
"I know right? Maybe we should go on dates, then that would be permissible, wouldn't it be?" he asked raising his eyebrows in hope."I have the best coffee machine at my apartment and I know how to perfectly use it!" he continued.
"I don't think it's appropriate to call a girl home on the first meeting!" she replied with a smile making his heart flutter.
"So it's fine if I take you out then?" he asked desperately.
"What if I don't want to go?" she asked crossing her arms.
"You will keep seeing me every day, everywhere you go, until you finally come with me because I am not just planning to date, I want to marry now!" he said giving a white rose to her that was lying on his table earlier.
"Jia!" Mr. Choi smiled as he approached his daughter, he was a surgeon in the city. "I am proud of you, I always saw this coming! It's so good to see how far you have come!" he hugged her and she smiled. "Who is he?" Mr. Choi asked as he saw Taehyung staring at Jia.
