~6 months later~
Aurora
Lucas was growing quickly. He was no longer our tiny little baby. He would sit up all by himself and play with his toys now. He no longer relied on just milk, but real food as well. We all joked that in the blink of an eye he would be 18 years old and telling us to all fuck off. So we were savouring all of the small moments.
Draco had turned up to the manor last week, looking nervous and flustered asking to talk to me. I was honestly pretty shocked because I assumed whatever the problem was it would be better handled by the boys, but he insisted it wasn't. Once I'd finally calmed him down, he told me that him and Daphne were expecting their first child. Of course I was overjoyed because there would only be 18 months between our children. Meaning by default, they would be friends.
Of course Theo and Mattheo were very happy for him as well, giving him 'props' as they liked to call it which only made me roll my eyes.
According to Draco, Astoria and Theo were getting pretty serious, I was saddened that Theo hadn't told me this himself but I left it alone. Knowing he would tell me when he wanted to. And that time came a lot sooner than I thought....
Merely two days after Draco had told me in fact. I was in the kitchen trying to make dinner for me and Mattheo, but failing rather miserably.
Theo walked in and lent against the counter next to me, with a nervous look on his face.
"Theo are you going to tell me what's bothering you? Or just stand there for an hour?"
"Okay Aurora listen" he took ahold of both of my hands and turned me to look at him "I-we um, we need to get divorced". My eyes widened at his words.
"Okay um, yeah sure. I mean I always knew we would have to at some point. It's just very random" I said looking down at the ground.
"I-I want to ask Astoria to marry me" he was stuttering over his words.
"Oh wow okay" I said quietly.
"Aurora, are you okay?" He gave my hand a gentle squeeze but I pulled it from his grip. His eyes widened at my actions.
"Yes" I turned back to carry on trying to make dinner.
"Aurora" he said again but I still didn't look at him.
"Aurora, look at me" I slowly moved my gaze to his and his face saddened. A tear was slowly running down my cheek.
"Why are you crying, what's going on?"
"I'm happy for you, I am. I'm just scared that now you've got your own family, you'll forget about me and Lucas" I mumbled my words quietly, embarrassed that I'd even said them.
"Aurora hey, that will NEVER ever happen. You are my family. You've always been my family and I would never forget about you no matter what happens" he placed his hands on either side of my face.
I sent a small smile at him but it didn't meet my eyes. "If you're marrying Astoria, this manor will belong to both of you. It won't be mine anymore".
"No. No, I'm not going to kick you out of your home. I won't do it Aurora. This is your home, our son's home. I'm going to sign the deed over to Mattheo"
I nodded my head slowly, letting him know that I understood. "I guess I'm going to be 'Aurora Decampo' again" I let out a small chuckle.
"No, you'll always be Aurora Nott" he winked at me and pulled my body into his chest, placing a delicate kiss to my forehead.
"I love you, Aurora Nott"
"I love you too Theo Nott".
He pulled away from the hug and ruffled my hair. Before leaving the kitchen.
Less than five minutes later, i felt arms wrap around my waist from behind.
"You better be Mattheo Riddle or I'll chop your hands off" I said with a smirk in my voice.
"Who's stealing who's words now darling" Mattheo chucked against my neck.
"Theo came to speak to me" I said quietly.
"What did he say?" Mattheo asked curiously.
"We are getting divorced, he wants to marry Astoria and obviously he can't do that whilst he's still married to me" I shrugged my shoulders.
"Are you okay darling?" Mattheo said and kissed my head.
"Yeah I am, I was just worried about him forgetting about me and Lucas once he had his new family but he said he could never forget about me. He's even going to sign his half of the manor over to you so that we can stay in our home" I spoke, letting a smile grow on my face.
"He's definitely one of a kind. He's got a good soul" Mattheo spoke softly.
"He does and he deserves to have his happiness. Although I am salty that I have to be Aurora Decampo again"
"Not for long darling" Mattheo said and then walked out of the kitchen.
"What?! What does that mean" I shouted chasing after him.
"Patience darling, patience" he said and tapped his finger against the end of my nose. I let out a loud laugh and walked behind him into the living room to see a happy Lucas sat in his play centre. He looked between me and Mattheo and let out a small giggle.
"See, even the kid thinks you should have patience" Mattheo said and then poked his tongue out at Lucas, causing him to smile.
"No you think mummy is right, don't you baby" I spoke lifting Lucas into my arms.
"He says mummy is never right" Mattheo said walking closer to us and letting Lucas grab ahold of his finger. He wrapped his arm around my waist and continued making funny faces at Lucas to get him to laugh. Everytime he did, me and Mattheo couldn't help but laugh as well. This moment was one I would remember forever.
