AuroraWednesday has come around quickly. Me and Theo had spent the last few days getting fitted for our clothes for the wedding and we'd also spent an unhealthy amount of time having sex. Theo was taking this heir thing more seriously than me now, he said he'd realised how bad it would be if we did lie to my parents and he said he couldn't risk losing me.
Mattheo had been writing everyday and I had been writing back, keeping him up to date with everything. Except the fact that me and Theo had been forced to have sex, I needed to tell him but it wasn't something I wanted to say in a letter.
We were due to become husband and wife tomorrow morning and Theo was trying his best to make the experience seem normal for me. So right now, he was asleep in the guest room down the hall. He said that muggles said it was bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding. I had laughed at him at first, thinking he was joking. But he wasn't. I wish he was because I'd grown used to his company, the bed felt cold and empty without him in it.
I'm not sure how long I led there awake, but all I know is when my eyes did eventually flutter closed, I could hear the birds chirping outside.
~the next morning~
I rolled over to check the clock on my nightstand, the time read 7:30. I felt exhausted, feeling like I'd only had an hour of sleep.
Ignoring my body screaming at me to stay in bed, I climbed out of bed and went straight into the bathroom. I showered and brushed my teeth and as soon as I was out and dry, I wrapped my robe around my body and began to style my hair. My mother had given me strict instructions to be ready at 9 o'clock sharp.
I simply added loose curls to my hair and let it hang down my back, how it always did. My makeup was simple yet beautiful. For the first time in months, I didn't add my black eyeliner but opted for a brown Smokey eyeshadow look and a pink nude lip.
As I exited the bathroom, I saw a garment bag hanging on the back of my door. My mother must have bought it in whislt I was showering. I walked towards it and unzipped the bag carefully, lifting the dress out of it. It was the most beautiful dress I'd ever seen. It had a corset top, with no straps. It fitted perfectly around my waist and then went straight out and down in layers and layers of tulle. There were small crystal details lining the top of the corset, it was exactly what I'd always wanted to wear as a bride.
I pulled the dress up my body, calling the assistance of the house elves to tie the corset for me. Once the little elf was done, her eyes widened at my beauty, i noticed the way she was admiring me and sent her a warm smile.
All that was left now, was to put on my shoes. I grabbed the white stiletto heels and slipped my feet inside.
Before I could leave the room, my mother walked in, with a box in her hand.
"What's that" I asked, my voice full of venom.
"It's my veil, from when I was married to your father, I thought you could wear it" she spoke sweetly.
I narrowed my eyes at her "I would rather die, but thanks" I turned my body around to look at my reflection once more.
"Okay, fine. Hurry up" she spat at me and left the room once more.
I took a deep breath and walked out of my room and into the hall. My father was waiting for me at the top of the stairs, apparently Theo was waiting for me just underneath where we were stood now. My nerves kicked in and I felt wobbly on my heels. I linked my arm with my father's as light music began to play through the mansion.
When we made it to the bottom of the stairs, I finally lifted my gaze away from the floor. There were lots of people here, people I didn't know. I assumed family friends of my parents and Theo's dad. Then, my eyes caught his, he was staring at me with wide eyes and a smile formed on his face. He looked so handsome. A fully black suit, with a white shirt underneath and a black tie.
I saw a tear roll down his cheek and he quickly reached up to wipe it away, but I saw it. I felt my own eyes watering now and not wanting to ruin my makeup, I looked back down to the floor, watching as my feet peaked out from under my dress with every step.
We made it to where Theo was stood because I could now see his shiny black shoes as well as the bottom of my dress. I raised my eyes once again and took him in completely, my heart was pounding in my chest. I quickly unlinked my arm from my father's and took ahold of Theo's outstretched hand.
As I was now stood in front of him, we linked our other hand together as well and looked deeply into each other's eyes. Waiting for the house elf to begin speaking.
"We are gathered here today to witness the marriage of witch and wizard" the small voice spoke.
I smiled at Theo.
"Miss Decampo, please repeat after me. I Aurora"
"I Aurora" I spoke slowly.
"Take thee Theodore" the elf sang happily.
"Take thee Theodore" I poked my tongue out at Theo after saying his full name.
"To be my husband, in sickness and in health. Until death do you part"
"To be my husband, in sickness and in health. Until death do us part" Theo's smile was so wide now, his face must be hurting.
"Mr Nott, now you repeat after me"
"I Theodore"
"I...Theo" Theo spoke and gave the elf a little bit of a side eye. I was trying to stop my laugh from escaping my lips.
"Take thee Aurora"
"Take thee Aurora" he winked at me.
"To be my wife, in sickness and in health. Until death do you part"
"To be my wife, in sickness and in health. Until death do us part" when he spoke the last words, he gave my hand a gentle squeeze.
"Rings!!" The small elf squealed.
My mother and father both stood up and walked over to us, each holding a small velvet box. My father passed his to Theo and my mother passed hers to me.
I pulled the box open to see a stunning plain white gold ring, with the letters 'A+T' engraved on the inside. I removed it carefully from the box and placed it on Theo's finger."With this ring, I be wed" I said with a smile.
I watched as Theo mimicked my actions, placing a stunning white gold ring onto my finger. It was a plain band with a huge emerald cluster in the centre, the same engraving on the inside of the band. My eyes widened in shock.
"With this ring, I be wed" he stared so intensely into my eyes that I swear I could collapse.
"You may now kiss the bride!!" The small elf shouted happily.
Theo placed one hand on the side of my face and the other on my waist, he pulled my body close to him and dipped his head down, moulding my lips to his. When we pulled apart he rested his forehead against mine, smiling brightly at me.
"May I have this dance, Mrs Nott" Theo said to me with a smirk as he held his arm out for me to take.
"Yes you may, Mr Nott" I took ahold of his arm and we walked from the room into the ballroom. We started moving around the room so gracefully, everyone's eyes on us but it felt as if we were the only ones left in the whole world. I was no longer a Decampo, I'd finally rid myself of the name that had cursed me, for my whole life. I was free.
