It was a cool morning. The skies were shrouded with clouds and the grass was wet from last night's pour. The tree of feelings stood strong upon the hill and its inhabitants were still asleep next to each other, except for Dream. He stared at the town, noticing how the few people who woke up held hands with one another. The positivity replenished his energy in a blink of an eye and the golden guardian was left to himself.

He was pretty sure his friends were still asleep, given that they partied last night. He stretched his body out before yawning. It was still early in the morning after all.

The golden guardian stared at the tree before debating whether it was safe to leave two sleeping people to watch it. He wanted to leave to go out and bathe in the stream but...his mother would be defenseless if he were to go. Suddenly, he heard a shuffle from the bushes in the forest. He whipped his skull around before sensing something "off" from it. It felt sinister yet territorial for some reason.

Then a bunny jumped out which spooked Dream a bit. It made him laugh to himself, realizing how silly he might have looked if anyone were to see him. He grabbed his towel hanging by a branch before continuing on with his wants. Besides the two he left behind weren't heavy sleepers.

He walked through the green forest with caution, careful to use the path that was marked with red paint so he would not get lost. It really brought excitement to his face how the water would look right now. You could tell he was practically ecstatic to take a bath in the crystal-clear waters. As he walked, he stumbled upon a raspberry bush that harbored the juiciest-looking fruits.

He ought to take a little detour and he walked up to the berry bush. He collected a few before starting to snack at it. Every bite was an explosion of sweetness and he licked his lips, not wanting to waste every drop. He picked a few more for the road but stopped when he realized that he was being a little greedy...

Driven by a sense of guilt, he broke off from his path, trying to find a place to plant the seeds he spit out. After searching for a bit, he found the perfect spot. He dug up a bit of soil and something from his gut told him it was the best soil to use. After planting the seeds, he headed back, happy that he was able to repay mother nature.

But when he was about to take a step, he stopped. He swore he saw something red quickly darting towards the bushes but ignored it and continued on, then he heard a low and sinister growl along with the sound of rattling.

Dream whipped his skull around and froze, his eyes widening in fear. A creature towered over him, almost enveloping him in shadows. He noticed how the sky was now grey and the atmosphere was getting a bit darker.

It was about to rain.

Dream stood still as he eyed the creature. It was... It was like Killer, basically the same species.

It's eyes were white and it's bones covered in what it seemed to be battle scars and he was WAY bigger than Killer... Dream trembled as he held the berries in his hands. It's long and humongous tail rattled, almost mocking how Dream was just pathetic at the time. It's teeth glistened in the last sun's rays before Dream shakenly held out his hands, trying to give the berries in his hands as a sort of sacrifice.

The ravenous look of the lamia's face changed and Dream could see how the rattle was shaking violently.

The look of insatiable hunger was soon reflected upon it's face.
