The group of friends had spent a month getting used to their new powers. Surprisingly, it wasn't a hard process. In the weekends, Mercury would help them out whenever the friends managed to get in contact with him.One of the powers they all had was the ability to fly. Dilton was the only one who lacked that ability. Though, he didn't mind much, as long as he could still contribute to the team.
But meanwhile, in the planet of Jupiter, there was a castle made from its rocks. Though it is known to be made of gas, what wasn't known was that its gas could be formed into solid. The catch was: only something that originates from jupiter could do so. And those species were called Darkans.
In that castle lived nine Darkans; the ones who were considered to be the Champions of Jupiter. They have defeated many different species of the universe—including planets. Though Jupiter didn't favor their attitudes, he was still impressed with their skills.
The one who usually made the decisions—he wasn't necessarily the leader, but he was considered as one—was sitting in the throne room. At first, he was reluctant to live like Royalty, but his friends managed to convince him to do otherwise.
He was tapping on the arm of the throne, thinking about how he would approach the Champions of Earth.
He was familiar with Humans. He knew that they were unaware of the world in their galaxy and that they had no powers. So, it would be too easy if he started with an aggressive approach.
Finally, he had an idea. He called out for one of his friends. His friend came a moment later. Like the leader, he was pitch black—except for his eyes that were pure white and had no irises and pupils. He wore a dark green lab coat, a white shirt underneath, and dark pants.
"What's up?" He said in a slightly bored tone as he adjusted his dark red medical mask. "As you know," the leader began. His voice was deeper compared to that of his friend. "I plan on us challenging the Champions of Earth."
"Do you want me to beat them up for you or something?"
"Not exactly," replied the leader. "I want you to... test their skills. See if they're able to put up a good fight."
The boy in the lab coat pushed his glasses up his nose. "Sure thing, boss." He then left without another word. The leader leaned back on his throne and sighed. "Champions of Earth," he mumbled to himself. "Do not disappoint me."

The Darkan boy went back to his laboratory. He went to the table in the middle of the room. Holograms appeared as tapped on the button in the middle of the table. After tapping some buttons, he goes to the front of an empty wall. A rumbling noise could be heard. The wall suddenly begins to separate. A bit of smoke came out as the wall separated and something began to emerge into the empty space.
It was an enormous, light-bronze mechanism with clear glass on the top—so that he would be able to see the outside clearly. The boy stepped back as the mechanism was pushed forward and out of the space it was in. The boy stared up at it, hands in his pockets, and thought to himself: Time to test this thing out.

A/N: Yeah, this chapter is pretty short. I just wanted to introduce a bit of the antagonists.
