Though Archie already told her, Betty was still surprised to see her friends in front of her house. "Hey, guys," she greeted them. They greeted back and they all went to Betty's room. When they arrived, Archie told Betty that they would have the introductions through her necklace. It took Betty a short while to finally figure out how to let everyone get in.

"There isn't even anyone here," Veronica complained as she looked around. "We can see that, Ron," Jughead said, earning a glare from her.

"I think we should just wait for at least ten minutes before leaving," Betty suggested. Just then, someone else appeared. "Hello, young humans," he greeted. "Apologies for making you wait."

The group of friends looked at him. "Oh, no, you weren't making us wait." Betty told him. "Good to know," he said as he smiled. "All right. I believe introductions are in order." He slowly bowed, but kept his eyes at the group of friends. "My call name is Mercury. First planet after Sun, and Jupiter's messenger. Pleasure to be formally acquainted."

"Wait, you're the planet Mercury?" Veronica asked in disbelief. "How is this possible?" Dilton added. He pushed his glasses up his nose. "This is the reason I didn't explain everything yet," Mercury said. "There's a lot to tackle for you to comprehend any of this. But now, we have time to spare."

He began to explain about the other planets and creatures that humans hadn't known existed. "Now the reason I am here," he added, "is to warn you about the intentions of the Darkans, Jupiter's creatures. They're going to attempt to wreak havoc on earth."

"Why would they want to do that?" Archie inquired. "Mr. Jupiter didn't tell me why. Though, Darkans aren't known to be nice. They could simply want to attack you since you're vulnerable—or should I say, were vulnerable without powers—and you have little knowledge of the world outside of your planet." Mercury replied.

"Okay, but what powers do we have? You haven't told us, you only gave them to us and teleported us back to our rooms." Reggie said. "Well, the thing is... You are expected to discover your powers for yourselves." For a second, Mercury flashed a sly grin.

"Figure it out ourselves?" Veronica echoed. "But if we have no idea what kind of powers we have, how do we discover them and learn to control them?" Betty asked.

"Before I came to any of you," Mercury began explaining, "my friends had a discussion and said that if you were worthy to protect your planet, you would easily get the hang of your powers." The friends stared at him silently, as if they didn't know what he was saying. "Is he being serious right now?" Reggie spoke up. Mercury sighed. "Well, you know what they say: a hero's path is never easy."

"Actually, it's not really a common phrase that is being used. It is usually just implied." Dilton told him. Before Mercury could say anything, Archie chimed in. "Hey, can we get cool superhero names?" He asked, cheerfully. "Why in the galaxy would you need another name? It's confusing enough that most of you have abbreviations and real names." Mercury replied.

"Well, it will allow us to remain anonymous to others and keep our families safe," said Dilton. "I agree with that," Betty added. Mercury wanted to argue, but he thought that it would be amusing to unnecessarily give them different names. "I suppose so," he muttered.

He began pointing at each of them until he picked Betty. "Let's see... Your 'superhero name', as you like to call it, will be... Super Betts." He said. Betty found it a bit too basic, but she didn't want to be mean and ask Mercury to change it. "Sure, that doesn't sound bad."

Next, he picked Reggie. It was decided his hero name was "Sneaky R". Sneaky R?" Reggie echoed. After a pause, his expression lightened. "Oh! Do I get to be sneaky like a ninja?" Mercury had no idea what a ninja was, but agreed with him.
