It was currently 16:04 (or 4:04 p.m). Betty was writing about how her day was in her diary. Dear diary, she wrote, usually I would write before I sleep, but since I don't have much to do right now, I figured that I'd just write now. Today wasn't really that special, actually. Just being helpful by running errands for my mom. She paused after writing the last sentence. Then, she thought about what she would write. She thought about it, then started writing once again.

Though, I had a strange feeling after my encounter with Veronica earlier. You know that feeling someone has when they feel like they're being stalked? That's what I felt earlier. I really hope I'm not actually being stalked! It would be cool to know that I did catch someone's attention, though. But other than that, being stalked would be creepy.

'That's good, for now.' Betty thought as she put her diary and pencil away. She leaned back on her chair and sighed. 'I'm pretty bored,' she thought. Betty started glancing around her room. Then, something caught her attention. She blinked a few times before realizing that her necklace was glowing. The light from the necklace flickered very slowly.

Betty let curiosity get the best of her and reached out for her necklace--which was only at the corner of the table. She held it in front of her and started to examine it closely. Before she knew it, a very bright light started to fill the room. "What the-?!" Betty exclaimed, before being completely absorbed by the light.

It was only a few seconds before she landed on a hard surface. "Ow!" She exclaimed. Betty opened her eyes to see nothing but pure whiteness. Confused, she started to stand up. There was no sign of any life. It was as if she were trapped in a void. She started to worry a little. She had no idea how to get back to her home; or even when she can get back.

"Hello?" She said to the empty space. Hoping that there would be anything or anyone that could somehow help her, or at least tell her where on earth she is. Actually, she's not even sure if she's still in earth. But Betty was never the type that gave up easily. "Anyone there?" She asked.

"Greetings, Elizabeth." A voice suddenly said. Betty quickly turned around at the sound of the voice. "Who's there?" She asked. Then, a strange figure suddenly appeared in front of her. "Sorry, you go by Betty, right?" It asked.

Betty slightly flinched, but the creature managed to catch it. Betty hesitated before saying, "I....Elizabeth's all right. But yeah, I go by Betty." She still couldn't fully process what was in front of her. It definitely was not human, but it looked like one.

Like the void, the creature was pure white. Except for its outline and the marks that it had that was surrounding its eyes. The marks were darkish-gray. They looked like they were paint, splashed onto the creature's face. The marks looked as if it was on the creature's face for too long that it stuck and sunk onto its skin.

The creature's eyes were pure white as well. There were no pupils or irises. The creature had short and somewhat messy hair. It was wearing simple long-sleeved clothing (Betty wasn't sure if it was a shirt or robes), shorts, and strange-looking shoes.

The strange creature smiled at her and said, "you needn't be afraid of me. I come in peace." Betty slightly blushed of embarrassment. "Sorry if I made you feel like you were threatening to me." She apologized. The creature smiled once more. "It's fine. This was the reaction I expected from you." The creature said. "Humans are the only species in this solar system that doesn't know much about creatures like me."

"Oh," Betty said softly. "Speaking of which, what exactly are you?" She added. "We'll do introductions later," it said. "But for now, you may know me as 3.285."

Betty smiled and said, "well it's nice to meet you." The figure returned the smile. "It is my pleasure," it replied. Then, its expression turned serious. "Now, I have an important message to tell you." It said. "What message?" Betty asked.
"You see, Jupiter's creatures plan on attacking this planet. And you have been chosen to protect your kind," the creature explained.

Betty blinked twice. "Wait, what??" She asked after realizing what the creature just said. It nodded. "I said what I had said." At this, Betty scoffed and shook her head. "I don't think you should choose me--" Before she could say anything else, the creature cut her off. "Me and my accomplices already decided on this. We thought about it thoroughly." It said. "Besides," it added, "your enemies are your doppelgängers."

"Wait, really?" Betty asked, surprised. The creature nodded and said, "now I must go to your friends. Meet me here once again when all of you have processed this information."

"Wait--" Betty said, but was cut off once again. "Here," the creature said before making a glowing ball appear on its hand. "This will give you the powers that you need. All you need to do to receive them is consume the power sphere." It explained. Betty hesitated for a moment. Then, she slowly took the ball and ate it.

The creature flashed a quick smile. "Good. Now, there may not be much time. I must go now." It said, before a flash of bright light appeared before Betty's eyes. A few seconds later, Betty opened her eyes and saw that she was back in her room. Nothing was out of the ordinary. The only thing different was that she wasn't in her chair.

Betty was confused. Was just happened? Was it all just a dream?

No. No way. It seemed to realistic to just be a dream. It all happened so fast; suddenly appearing in a void, seeing a strange creature, receiving powers. 'I'm a hero now...' Betty thought. She went to her bed and sat down.

After she processed everything she needed to, she stood up. "If I'm gonna be a hero, I guess I'll start by making my costume." Betty said to herself. Then, she went to gather the materials needed to make her costume.

"There, it's done." Betty said.

It seemed simple, but it was enough for Betty

It seemed simple, but it was enough for Betty. "I can't wait to wear this when I'm fighting villains." She said, talking to herself. She quickly rushed to get her pencil and diary. She opened her diary and started writing a new paragraph.
Never mind, diary. There actually is something special about today.

As she was writing in her diary, her phone suddenly rang. She stopped writing and picked it up. "Hello?"

Words: 1138

A/N: Apologies if the costume looks too simple. I couldn't really think of any other designs when I first wrote this story. But spoiler alert: they'll have new costumes in the new season of this series. Update on the fonts: italic font without the asterisks means a flashback. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed. Peace out ✌🏻.
