Percy stood nervously at the foot of the towering Empire State Building, his heart pounding in his chest as he gazed up at the gleaming skyscraper stretching into the sky. He had come here for a reason, a purpose that filled him with both excitement and trepidation.
Taking a deep breath, Percy pushed open the door to the building and made his way to the elevator, his footsteps echoing in the cavernous lobby. As he ascended to the 100th floor, his mind raced with thoughts of Annabeth, his beloved Wise Girl who had captured his heart so completely.
When the elevator doors finally slid open, Percy stepped out onto the observation deck, the wind whipping through his hair as he took in the breathtaking view of the city spread out below him. But his attention was drawn to a figure standing at the edge of the platform, her silver-gray eyes reflecting the light of the setting sun.
"Athena," Percy said, his voice tinged with reverence as he approached the goddess of wisdom.
Athena turned to face him, her expression unreadable as she regarded him with her piercing gaze. "Percy Jackson," she said, her voice like the rustle of autumn leaves. "To what do I owe the honor of your visit?"
Percy swallowed hard, his throat suddenly dry as he struggled to find the right words. "I...I've come to ask for your blessing," he began, his voice faltering slightly. "I want to marry Annabeth, and I wanted to ask for your approval before I propose to her."
Athena's eyes softened slightly at Percy's words, a flicker of emotion crossing her face before she composed herself once more. "Annabeth is my greatest pride and joy," she said, her voice filled with maternal affection. "She is strong, intelligent, and fiercely loyal. I have watched her grow into the remarkable woman she is today, and I have no doubt that she will make an excellent wife."
Percy felt a wave of relief wash over him at Athena's words, a weight lifting from his shoulders as he realized that he had her blessing. "Thank you," he said, his voice choked with emotion. "Thank you for believing in us."
Athena nodded, a small smile playing at the corners of her lips. "You have my blessing, Percy Jackson," she said, her voice soft but firm. "May your love for each other be as enduring as the stars themselves."
With a sense of gratitude filling his heart, Percy turned to gaze out at the city skyline, the lights of Manhattan glittering in the fading light of the day. He knew that he was ready to take the next step in his journey with Annabeth, to pledge his love to her in a way that would bind them together for eternity.
And as he thought about the future that lay ahead, Percy couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement building within him. He was ready to embark on this new adventure with Annabeth by his side, to face whatever challenges came their way together, as a team.
Taking a deep breath, Percy made his way back to the elevator, his heart filled with hope and determination. He knew that the road ahead would not always be easy, but with Annabeth's love and Athena's blessing, he was confident that they could overcome anything that stood in their way.
