Braeden's POV

Alayah and I followed her dad back to the Battle Tower. When we got inside, we began going up the elevator, except this time, we went past the battlefield level.

"This goes even higher?" I asked.

"Yup." Alayah's dad said. "We're going straight up to my office. The view from there is even better than the Ferris wheel!"

"Woah... can't wait to see sir." I smiled.

"Please call me Adam." He smiled back. "Any friend of Alayah's has my respect. She can be a handful sometime."

"N-No she's great!" I said.

I glanced over at Alayah. She was looking down at the ground, and seemed nervous...

Finally, we made it to the top floor, and stepped out of the elevator. Adam was right... the view was insane I could quite literally see the entire city.

"Are you impressed?" Adam smiled as he sat down in one of his office chairs. "Wyndon is one of the most impressive cities in the entire world."

"I can see why..." I nodded.

"So Braeden right? Tell me about yourself. How did you meet my daughter?" Adam asked.

Alayah and I sat down in front of him to talk.

"My goal is to win the Alola Championships. I first came to the Alola Battle Institution, along with my best friend to train and get as strong as we can so we'll be ready to compete." I told him. "It's been going well, there's only 1 Kahuna left, then I'll have completed Alola's Island Challenge."

"Very nice." Adam smiled. "You seem like a promising young trainer!"

"Thanks." I spoke. "Alayah was actually one of the trainers that showed me around Melemele Island, and the ABI when I first came here, we've been friends since."

Saying "friends" felt weird as I thought back to when she flashed me her thong, and of course when we kissed.

"I'm glad my daughter was able to assist you so much." Adam said, then turned to Alayah. "How has your time in Alola been Alayah?"

"G-Good..." Alayah nervously and quietly said.

Adam then turned back to me, his smile now gone.

"Well Braeden, I'm sure you've put together a very strong team during your time in Alola." He said. "When the Alola Championships begin, I'll be sure to be rooting for you."

"For me...?" I said with confusion. "Not your daughter?"

"That's one of the things I'd like to talk about..." Adam said. "Alayah, I'd like you to stay in Galar, and compete in the Galar Championships."

"W-What?!" Alayah exclaimed.

"I'm not asking." Her dad spoke. "Galar is your home! You belong here!"

"But daddy you can't do that!" Alayah said. "I love Alola! I met so many amazing people and Pokémon there! I helped to save Alola-"

"And that's the problem." Her dad spoke. "I want you here where I know you're safe. Yes, it's great that you and your friend were able to defeat Necrozma, but do you know how worried I was?! You could've been seriously hurt!"

"But I wasn't!" Alayah yelled. "Why can't you just believe in my strength?!"

"I'm your father, and you'll do as I say." Adam said. "You may be 19, but I still raised you. I was never comfortable with you leaving to Alola, and I held back on saying anything for so long to protect your feelings, but the Battle Of Divine Light was my last straw. You're staying here."
