Declan and I stood on opposite sides of the battlefield. A breeze blew throughout the stadium while we both wore confident smiles.
"Welcome to the finals of the Sun Bracket!" Ajani exclaimed as the stadium loudly cheered. "Our two trainers that climbed to the finals, are Declan Morgan, and Dylan Fitzgerald!"
"Its been way too long since we last battled." Said Declan.
"Yeah. Look at how much we've grown since then." I said. "We battled alongside each other against PK, and now we've surpassed him."
"Now we can really see who's stronger." Declan smiled.
"Declan vs Dylan! Competing head to head in our first finals battle! Each trainer will have the use of 6 Pokémon and substitutions are allowed. When all 6 of either trainer's Pokémon are unable to continue, the battle will be over." Wani spoke. "When a side has lost 3 Pokémon, there will be a short 5 minute break. Now trainers, bring out your first Pokémon!"
"Hippo go!"
"Garchomp hit it!" Declan and I threw out our Poké Balls, and our Pokémon appeared.
"Hippowwww!"
"Gaaaar!" They both cried.
"Declan leads Hippowdon while Dylan leads Garchomp!" Said Ajani. "Both trainers open with ground types!"
"Battle begin!" Said Wani.
"Stealth rock let's go!" We both yelled at the same time.
"Gaaaaar!"
"Hippow!" Garchomp and Hippowdon both unleashed pointed stones towards the battlefield, but they collided into each other, and canceled out.

"So you taught your Garchomp stealth rock? First Jailen now you." Declan smiled as he returned Hippowdon to its Poké Ball. "Guess I really set a trend."
"Everyone saw how effective they were against Braeden's team." I said as I returned Garchomp to its Poké Ball as well. "Who wouldn't want that kind of chip damage upon entry?"
"After the two attacks cancel each other out, both competitors immediately switch out their Pokémon!" Said Ajani.
"Alright Electivire go!"
"Hit it Krookodile!" We both yelled as we threw out our Poké Balls, and our Pokémon appeared.
"Electah!"
"Diiile!" They both cried.
"The next fight is Electivire vs Krookodile! In terms of type advantage, Krookodile has the upper hand." Said Ajani.
"Krookodile hyper beam!" I yelled.
"Krookaaaa!" Krookodile roared as it unleashed a massive energy beam at Electivire.
