"Bring out your first Pokémon!" Prof. Kaplan said.
"Hippowdon you're up first!" Declan threw out his Poké Ball, and his Hippowdon appeared.
"Hippooooowwwwww!" Hippowdon roared as it landed on the battlefield.

I know this is a bad lead for me, but I don't care. I'm determined to start this battle off with you.
"Infernape let's go!" I threw out my Poké Ball, and my Infernape appeared.

"Fernape!" He cried as the jumbo screen updated with icons of our Pokémon.
"Huh?! Monferno evolved?!" Declan said.
"Sure did." I smiled. "You're about to see how much stronger we've become."
"Fernape!" Infernape smiled.
"Perfect. This'll make our battle even better." Declan smiled back.
"Now... let the battle begin!" Prof. Kaplan yelled.
"Hippowdon stealth rock!" Declan commanded.
"Hippooowwww!" Hippowdon roared as it pointed stones began shooting towards Infernape.
This is the move they used in our first battle... if those rocks go up, it'll damage all 6 of my Pokémon, which means I can't let them use that move!
"Infernape destroy the rocks with flamethrower!" I yelled.
"Infernaaaape!" Infernape cried as it spewed a stream of flames from its mouth, burning up all of the stones.
