Isadora and Klaus came in.
"What happened?" I asked as Isadora looked angry. Klaus looked at me.
"Someone wrote on our desks, and we owe Nero a candy bag." He was also decently mad also.
"What'd they write?" Duncan like the nosy person he was asked.
"'Loves Klaus' on my desk and 'Loves Isadora' on Klaus." She said as if she had steam coming out her ears.
"That is..." Duncan started but never finished. Isadora and Klaus sat down. I glanced at the clock.
"Let's go to that horrible violin thing now." I said as it was 5:58.
"Fine." Isadora rolled her eyes. We walked to where the violin recital was. We heard Mr. Remora taking role.
"Dixie?" He called out.
"Here!" Presumably Dixie called out.
"Duncan?" He called out. Duncan just sat down.
"Present." He replied. A few names later Isadora's name was called. After a little more Klaus was called. Then my name. After the last names starting with z were called Nero walked on the stage and began his horrible, mandatory, everlasting, violin recital.

We rushed to find a candy bag by midnight.
"Cafeteria?" I asked running through the halls. We made it to the cafeteria. Unfortunately, there was no candy bags in sight. We turned into a supply closet. We opened the door to find A pile of violins and candy bags.
"Let's just take one." Klaus said and looked around for anyone watching us. We carried it back to our room.
"You actually got it!" Violet said when we walked through the door of our room. We smiled. I immediately crashed in my bed.

I was up all night working on my invention. I didn't realize it was sunrise until I was finished.
"Hi Violet." Isadora said when she got out of bed. She was usually up at six and I wake up later, so she was surprised I was up. She glanced at the invention I made. She sat in a chair and got her poetry notebook out. "Why are you up so early?" She asked. I just smiled and went to find a book to test my invention out.
"Klaus." I woke Klaus up.
"What." He sat up, rubbing his eyes.
"I need a book." He got up and handed me a thick book that was called "History of History". "Thanks." I went to test my invention. It could flip the pages once you pulled down a lever. It was loud and so it woke Duncan. He ran to see it.
"Good job!" He smiled and high-fived me. I smiled. Eventually, we went to class. I followed Duncan to Mr. Remora's class. We were early again. So, to pass the time we sat on a bench in front of the class. I occasionally looked at Duncan and we smiled. After a bit we went into the classroom.
"So, one day I decided I wanted a banana," Mr. Remora started saying, "And so I took a banana, but it was brown." The class took a minute to grimace. "So, I went to the farm and took a banana off the tree, but it was also brown. So, I went to the Farmer's market and finally found a yellow banana. And for dinner I had banana bread with brown bananas and the bread was burnt but I liked it. And I also had chicken noddle soup for dinner with banana instead of chicken." Everyone grimaced again. I looked to Duncan who was beside me. His journal was open, and he was writing extremely fast.

Klaus and I sat in our seats and made it just in time to be ten minutes early. Our desks still had a little black on the front where they were written on. Mrs. Bass was lining up objects to measure.
"Shoot," I whispered to Klaus, "She's making us measure our desks again." I pointed to the dusty chalkboard that said, "Measure your desk or no credi-" The t was slightly erased.
"Okay," Mrs. Bass said when class started. "First measure your desk. Then come up and measure these. write them on the paper on your desk." She instructed. We measured in the metric system until lunch came, when we would be able to meet Violet and Duncan and eat together. We ran to the cafeteria.
"Hi!" Violet said. I waved to her. Nero walked up to the table.
"Where's my candy?" He asked crankily.
"In our room." I said and sat down on the bench. I rolled my eyes when he was out of sight.
"Do you actually think he's going in our room?" Violet asked.
"He'll do anything to get a candy bag." I said, putting a piece of mac and cheese in my mouth.
