Chapter ten

Felix's pov

I was laying in my bed looking down at my arm that I had freshly abused at school. I felt guilty. I don't know what's wrong with me, I was doing so good back in Australia and the first chance I get back here I crack. And what was I going to tell Ronnie, she doesn't allow me to wear long sleeves or anything in the house when she's around. A precaution she put into place after she found me.

I was brought back to reality when I heard the doorbell go off, if it was Ronnie she would have just come in. I sigh and get up, not really caring who it could be probably just one of our neighbors or something. I swing open the door and there he stood, Hyunjin.

I quickly tried to shut it but he walked in pushing the door back open, "Felix please let me explain" he pleads with me as retreat back into the house. "What so you can just lie to me some more" I snap back at him. "Felix I am so sorry about today" he says again but I put my hand up to stop him from continuing. I was about to talk back when I realized he was staring at my arm.

I put my hand down slowly, watching his gaze follow it. "Felix" he whispered out as tears began to roll down his face. "Just leave me alone Hyunjin, I don't have the mental strength to argue with you right now" I say back quietly but he shook his head, grabbing my wrist and bringing it to his face. I watched as his eyes glazed over the new marks.

"I am so sorry Felix" he says again, I watch as more tears come down his face. He dropped to his knees and continued to cry. I kneeled down to his level to hear what he was mumbling to himself, "I'm so sorry I'm so sorry I'm so sorry" over and over again.

He looked up at me and my heart broke, he grabbed me pulling me into his chest. I didn't fight it, I was too emotionally tired. But it felt so nice at the same time to be close to him. "I got scared, I didn't want Minho to know and what I said was cruel and wrong and I am so sorry" he whispered into me.

I nod my head, pulling us back to our feet I grab his hand and lead him to my room, lying down on the bed he follows me. Wrapping me in his arms I felt safe. "Felix" he whispered to me, looking up at him I shushed him "we can talk later, right now I am tired" I say back. He nods his head and holds onto me tighter.

We fell asleep, I felt weird though, maybe I had given up too soon. But he seemed genuinely upset about what he had done. But we definitely would need to talk about this going forward. He was like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. One moment he was the sweetest version of himself and the next the worst.

I felt him start to wake up, his hands still wrapped around me but moving up and down my back now. It was peaceful but at the same time it hurt. "Hyunjin" I spoke up, he looks down at me, pushing my bangs behind my ear, "yes Felix" he says back.

"I don't understand why you did it" I say back quietly. He looked confused, "why I did what" he asks me, I feel his heart beat faster. "Why you chose me, out of everyone to bully" I tell him still listening to his rapid heart. "Honestly Felix I have no clue, I mean you were there and it just happened and I regret it so much" he says back. Getting up from his chest I look down at him, his hands fall to my lower back.

"So I was just random then, like if your brain looked at someone else seconds before me it could have told you to bully them instead" I say back. He sighs loudly, "honestly Felix I don't know" his hand starting to rub small circles on my back. "Why did you do it" I ask again, "I'm a terrible person, I was going through something with my parents and I decided to take it out on you" he says quietly. I noticed his hand stopped too.

"What happened with your parents" I ask him. I watch as his face changed, like he was reliving a nightmare. "My dad used to cheat on my mom, I'm an only child so I came home one day and saw him doing it with his receptionist. He tried to bribe me but I told my mom and she freaked out at me. Screaming at me about lying and making stuff up. My dad just watched the whole thing and didn't say anything" he tells me.

"That was unfair to you" I sympathize with him. His head shifts up and he looks at me confused. "It's not an excuse Felix, I'm fucked up. I thought making someone else feel as shitty as me would help but it never did" he snaps back. "True but it still doesn't mean it was fair for you" I say back.

He brings his hand to my face, caressing my cheek looking into my eyes. "You are too good for this world Felix" he whispers to me before bringing me down to him, our lips touch and it was magic all over again. I got on top of him and continued the kiss. This surprised Hyunjin because he opened his mouth which I gladly slid my tongue into. He hummed against my skin, enjoying every second of it.

His hands went to my waist, digging his thumbs into my side every time the kiss got steamer. We pulled apart when we heard someone knocking on the door. Both of us completely out of breath. I lean down and kiss him before getting up and putting on a sweater (I wasn't going to make the same mistake) and heading to the door. Opening it I see Han and Jeongin standing there. Han bursts in hugging me tightly.

"Oh Felix how are you feeling, do you need anything soup or medicine" he yells out but I just laugh at him. "How did you guys get my address" I ask back as Han releases me. "Seungmin knows the office lady and told him we needed it to drop off your homework" Jeongin says earning a slap on the arm from Han. "What what did I do to deserve that" he asks back whining,

"You just tattled on Seungmin" Han says back but then tackles Jeongin to the ground after he made a bunch of kissing faces back to him after hearing Seungmin's name. I laughed watching them tumble on the ground but they both stopped and looked up at me. But they weren't staring at me they were staring behind me.

Hyunjin came out and was watching them fight on the ground. "Uh what is he doing here" Han asks after helping Gin off the ground both standing now. "I told you I needed to talk to Felix about the project so I came over" Hyunjin says nonchalantly walking over to us.

"Well we are here now to take care of Felix so you can go" Han says back to him sassily. "I appreciate you guys coming over but Hyunjin and I have to work on this project" I say back to Han. They both sign but agree to leave, "text us if you need anything Felix" Jeongin yells out as they leave.

"I thought we finished the project" Hyunjin looks over at me confused. I grab him pulling him to the couch sitting on his lap, "yes but we didn't finish what we started earlier" I say back earning a huge smile from Hyunjin. I lean down and he meets me, crashing our lips together hungrily. We made out for the next half hour until we both couldn't breathe properly.

Calming down he looks at me, "wanna go grab coffee" he asks me. I nod my head, getting up from his lap and putting on my shoes. We walk out to his car and start driving to a cafe. Arriving at the destination we hop out and make our way inside, it was a small cozy cafe. Walking up to order Hyunjin went first, "iced americano please" smiling over at me I look at the menu "I'll do a mocha latte with extra whipped cream". I go into my pocket to pay for my drink but Hyunjin stops me.

"This one is on me, I never apologized about the mess I made at your work" he says sweetly paying for our order and taking a seat at a near by table. We were just chatting back and forth when our coffee came. "Americano is so bitter I don't know how you can drink that" I say to him as he laughs back. "At least I won't get a cavity from my coffee" he jokes back earning a huge smile from me.

But his smile fades, the bell the cafe door rings. His gaze looking at the person walking in.
